Chapter 321
What was going on? The conversation in a childish voice in her dream just now was so similar to what Calvin said to her at the
diner that night.
She thought, “Did I dream about those words because Calvin said them to me before?”
Thinking this way, Rosalie frowned again and felt a slight headache.
Rosalie heard Jonathan’s voice. “Are you not feeling okay?”
“No, but it’s just a headache,” said Rosalie.
Jonathan raised his hands and gently pressed his warm fingertips against her forehead and temples, giving her a soothing
massage.
He used moderate force so Rosalie felt much more comfortable.
“Are you feeling better?” asked Jonathan.
Rosalie nodded. “Yeah, better.”
Jonathan said, “How about I take you to the hospital tomorrow for a physical examination to find out the reason for your
headache?”
Rosalie said, “Thanks but there’s no need. I’m having a headache probably because of what Calvin said.”
Jonathan’s hands suddenly paused. He said, “What did you say? Calvin?!”
Rosalie explained, “He came to the diner today and I thought he just mistook me for someone he was looking for. He said
something strange. Then I dreamed about two kids just now. They were talking about what Calvin said today.”
Jonathan’s mood darkened. He said, “Can you tell me more about this dream?”
Rosalie described what happened in her dream and then added, “I must have been influenced by Calvin’s words. That’s why I
had this dream. Calvin said that I said those things to him but I can’t recall any of them.”
Jonathan thought, “That’s because you forgot it! After you had a high fever, she forgot everything that happened during the day
when you went missing.”
Jonathan knew this because after he realized that she was highly likely the person who Calvin had been looking for, he asked
someone to investigate it. After a long investigation, a hospital record that showed that she had been in the hospital at that time
was found.
Then in the hospital’s archive, Jonathan learned that Rosalie lost her memory of that day.
Loss of memory of only one day wasn’t a big deal to others. And Rosalie couldn’t explain why she disappeared.
Anyway, she was fine, so the others didn’t try to learn more about her memory loss.
For some people, it was just a loss of a memory of one day. But for some people, it meant 20 years of searching.
If Rosalie hadn’t lost the memory of that day, she would have remembered Calvin, and Calvin could have found her earlier, and
they might have already been back together.
Therefore, Jonathan was glad that Rosalie had lost the memory of that day. He had found someone to change her case history
and the records of hospitalization.
Even if Calvin looked into it, what he would find was nothing but what Jonathan chose to show to him.
“Okay. Just stop thinking about him.” Jonathan said softly, “I’ll keep massaging your forehead for a while.”
Rosalie slowly closed her eyes, feeling his fingers giving her a soft massage. “Okay.”
Rosalie murmured, “But Jon, Calvin seems to really care a lot about that person.” She thought that Calvin was just a playboy so
she was shocked by his insistence on finding that person.
Calvin seemed to be looking for a little girl whom he had met when he was a kid. If that was true, how long had he been looking
for her? Ten years? Twenty years?
Rosalie thought, “He’s been looking for that girl for so long. Perhaps not many people have this kind of long-term persistence.”
Rosalie asked, “He’s been looking for that person for so long. Do you think he will find her in the end?”
Jonathan asked, “What do you think? Do you want him to find her or not?”
Rosalie said, “I hope he can find that person. Then he won’t mistake me for her again.”
Rosalie’s

eyes were closed so she didn’t notice the gloominess and thoughtfulness in Jonathan’s eyes.
Jonathan thought, “Mistake? No. Calvin was right. But I will make it the only truth! Rosie, you’re mine. I won’t give you to
“Think about it, he will not stop finding substitutes until he finds her. It seems quite pathetic.” Rosalie slowly opened her eyes and
looked at Jonathan. “In fact, no matter how many substitutes he gets, what’s the point of it if they’re not the ones he really
misses?”
Jonathan smiled gently, “It’s indeed pathetic. Then let’s pray that Calvin will find that person soon.”
In the next few days, Rosalie delivered food for the diner as usual. Amelia had already started to recruit delivery riders.
Rosalie’s workload was halved after the new recruit was on probation for a week.
After Aiden knew that Rosalie was leaving, he kept following Rosalie around as long as she was in the diner. He didn’t want her
to leave.
Rosalie rubbed Aiden’s head and said, “I will come here to play with you very often. And if you miss me, you can ask Mommy to
bring you to my place or you can call me. You remember my phone number, don’t you?”
“But I want to see you every day,” said Aiden.
After a period of training, Aiden had gotten used to the cochlear implant, and his ability to speak was greatly improved.
Aiden’s voice sometimes sounded stiff but he could speak long sentences now.
Some children of his age who learned to talk a bit later might not be as good as him. Aiden was smart and good at learning a
language.
Rosalie smiled, “You can always make video calls with me, Aiden. If you miss me, call me!”
Suddenly, Rosalie’s phone rang. It was a call from Jonathan. Jonathan said, “I’ll send someone to pick you up in about 15
minutes.”
Rosalie replied, “Okay.” Jonathan told her yesterday that he would pick her up to select a wedding ring. And Rosalie had told
Amelia about it and took a leave.
Rosalie was stunned to see a diamond after she arrived at the jewelry store where she met Jonathan.
This was a loose diamond and she had seen it before. She had been to an auction abroad with Zachary once where she saw
this diamond. Everything about this diamond was perfect. It was flawless and called the Icy Crystal diamond.
