The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 396
No, it shouldn’t be described as blank. The last page contained a photo of hers.
It was a picture of her in a floral dress, one he had found beautiful and asked for as a keepsake. She hadn’t anticipated that he
would place the photo in his album.
And then, she discovered that beneath the original location of the album, there was a small silver bracelet.
However, her attention had been solely on the album, neglecting this bracelet.
Rosalie’s chest suddenly tightened as she thought, ‘Isn’t this the bracelet that Calvin had always carried with him? Why is it with
Jon?
No... This bracelet is not Calvin’s!’
Rosalie abruptly picked up the small silver bracelet. It shared the same style and
Ze as Calvin’s, but it was more oxidized, with a slightly darkened surface. Calvin’s bracelet was brighter, likely because he
frequently rubbed it with his fingers.
Then this bracelet... All of a sudden, Rosalie thought of the jewelry box her grandmother had left her.
She hadn’t found the bracelet that was supposed to match the one worn by Calvin in that jewelry box. ‘What if... the one in front
of me is that bracelet?
But why would it be in Jon’s room?’ she wondered, suddenly feeling uneasy as if happened before.
And only Jon could provide her with the answers to this mystery.
ething she wasn’t aware of had
With the silver bracelet in her hand, Rosalie left the room and headed downstairs. Just as she reached the first floor, she heard a
commotion outside.
Rosalie hastened forward and saw a woman seemingly trying to force her way inside. However, she was being held back by
several servants, with Jonathan and Carlos standing in front of her.

“Mr. Youngblood, I apologize. I didn’t expect her to suddenly break in here. I will handle it!” Carlos said.
At that point, Rosalie recognized the woman being restrained by the servants. She was Robin, the doctor who had performed
hypnotherapy on her in the past.
But at this moment, Robin, who happened to be facing Rosalie, immediately shouted upon seeing the latter, “Ms. Leighton, tell
Mr. Youngblood that I really didn’t hypnotize you!”
Rosalie was instantly stunned, feeling as if her mind had exploded.
She wondered, ‘Hypnosis? Jon?
Why does Robin want me to tell Jon that? Does Jon know her? I’ve never even told him about the hypnosis. I always claimed I
had a headache.’
The mysteries continued to multiply.
Rosalie stared at Jon’s distant figure in a trance, watching him slowly turn around. His handsome face was adorned with a
familiar smile as he gazed at her tenderly. “You’re awake. I’ll have the servant bring your breakfast out in a while. Eat something.”
Jon approached, gently caressing the hair by her cheek and casually instructing Carlos behind him. “Handle this matter.”
“Yes, Mr. Youngblood,” Carlos responded briskly, swiftly arranging for Robin to be escorted out of the Youngblood residence.
‘I didn’t expect Dr. Erickson’s sudden intrusion, and the most troublesome part is that Ms. Leighton witnessed the scene.
If Mr. Youngblood settles the scores later, things will be bad for me. At that thought, Carlos shivered involuntarily before glancing
at Robin, who had quieted down.
‘It seems like Dr. Erickson came to the Youngblood residence and caused such a ruckus out of fear. Is she scared of losing her
job, so she’s hastily proving that she never hypnotized Rosalie?
This explanation feels too simple. After all, I only arranged for Dr. Erickson to go abroad for a conference and have a vacation
back then, he pondered.
Carlos’ expression changed at that. Having been around Jonathan for so long, he naturally understood a principle-when things
deviated from the norm, there must be a hidden truth. Perhaps he needed to thoroughly investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, in the Youngblood residence, Jonathan smiled at Rosalie. “Come, let’s have breakfast first.”
“Jon, what happened just now?” Rosalie stood there instead of following him to the dining area.
“As you saw, a doctor you consulted with before came here and caused a scene,” he casually explained. “I’ll arrange for another
good doctor to help with your headaches.”
He attempted to take her hand and lead her to the restaurant, but she stood firm.
“Do you know Robin? Do you know that I visited her clinic for hypnotherapy?” Taking a deep breath, Rosalie voiced the
questions swirling in her mind.
The smile on Jonathan’s face faded. “Today is your birthday. Do we have to discuss this now?”
“Jon, I need to understand what’s happening!” Rosalie’s thoughts were in disarray. She could sense that she was clueless about
many things that were connected to her.
“But sometimes, isn’t it better not to know?” he argued.
Suddenly, something flashed through Rosalie’s mind. She stared at him wide-eyed and uttered, “When I went to the hospital that
day, the nurse said that Robin suddenly went abroad for some business. Was that your doing?”
“Do you really want to know?” His eyelashes trembled. “What if I say yes? What do you plan to do?”
“But why did you...” Rosalie’s words trailed off as she remembered the silver bracelet in her hand. For some reason, it felt heavy
at that moment.
Her clever mind began connecting the dots, unraveling the mysteries that were once unclear. “This bracelet... Did you take it
from my grandmother’s belongings?” She slowly extended her hand, and in her right palm lay a somewhat oxidized silver
bracelet.
Jonathan glanced at the bracelet faintly, and a complex look flashed in his eyes. ‘Are some things truly unavoidable? Even with
my deliberate efforts to sever her ties with Calvin, the broken lines seem to reconnect, much like how the silver bracelet
eventually found its way back to her.
What about the connection between her and Calvin? Will it be reconnected again?’ he pondered.

“You’re right. I did hide the bracelet,” he stated softly.
Rosalie’s heart sank. His words seemed like a confirmation, deepening her suspicions. “And you know about my memory loss
too?”
