The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 403
At least she still had a lawyer’s license to take on her favorite job again.
“Then I’ll go with you. I drove here today, so it will be easier,” Lillian said.
They went to the real estate agency. Rosalie wasn’t very picky about the house she wanted to rent, so she found a suitable place
in no time.
She inspected the house in the morning and directly signed the rental agreement with the house owner in the afternoon.
The cost of the house was 340 dollars a month. The transportation was quite convenient, and there were also supermarkets and
restaurants in the area, so it was quite convenient to live there.
However, Lillian thought the area was not very safe. The people there seemed shady. She was worried that Rosalie would have
safety problems.
Rosalie responded to that concern by saying, “I am not going to live here for the rest of my life. I’m just going to live here
temporarily. When my income has stabilized, I’ll move to another place. Besides, I will try my best not to go out at night.
It’ll be fine.”
Lillian thought about it and could only accept Rosalie’s decision for now.
In the afternoon, Lillian drove back and helped Rosalie move in. They bought some kitchenware and cleaned up the rental home.
After a long day, they were almost done.
Before she left, Lillian reminded Rosalie, “If anything happens, just call me! You’re no trouble. Don’t try to shoulder everything by
yourself. Okay?”
“Got it,” she replied. As Lillian was about to leave the house, Rosalie couldn’t help but rush over and hug her.
“What’s wrong?” Lillian was stunned.
“Lillian, I’m glad to have you by my side,” Rosalie murmured.
If it weren’t for Lillian, Rosalie might have collapsed at the station yesterday.

Whenever she was in the depths of despair, Lillian would always be there for her.
It was Lillian who kept pulling her back from the abyss.
Lillian patted Rosalie. “I’ve told you we will be lifelong friends. So remember that I’ll be by your side no matter what happens!”
“Okay,” Rosalie responded in a slightly nasal voice.
“I owe Lillian too much. If she needs anything in the future, I’ll repay her kindness with everything I have,” Rosalie said inwardly.
Rosalie looked around her rental home after sending Lillian off. It was about the same size as the one she had rented before,
except for a separate kitchen.
It had a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. It was considered very cheap with a price of 340 dollars.
“I’m back to my own life again! It’s nothing different! Let’s just treat the days of dating Jonathan as an absurd dream. After waking
up from this dream, I’m still me!” Rosalie encouraged herself.
Rosalie left her rental home and took a bus to Amelia’s diner.
Rosalie thought, ‘I didn’t ask Ms. Haab and Aiden to come over yesterday. I just said a few words on the phone in a hurry, so she
was probably still worried about me. I wonder if Aiden was disappointed.
I heard from Ms. Haab that Aiden has spent some time choosing a birthday gift for me.’
When she thought of Aiden, Rosalie felt a tug of love in her heart. She couldn’t help but feel a surge of motherly love when she
looked at him. She even thought that it would be great if she could give birth to a smart, sensible, and cute child like Aiden in the
future.
At the same time, Rosalie looked down at her flat stomach.
She was afraid she wouldn’t be able to have a child of her own in her life. Due to her physical condition, she used to think she
could not get pregnant.
As for now, although her body could be cured, she was physically and mentally exhausted. She no longer had the courage to
believe in so-called love.
It was already past 7 p.m. when Rosalie reached the diner. She had managed to avoid the peak dinner hour.

“You’re here!” When Amelia saw Rosalie, she greeted her immediately. She looked at Rosalie’s haggard face and asked, “Have
you eaten? Why don’t you order something to eat?”
“I’ll have spaghetti bolognese then. I haven’t had that in a long time,” Rosalie replied after thinking for a moment.
“Okay. Have a seat first.” Amelia then ordered the kitchen to prepare it for Rosalie.
Soon, a plate of spaghetti bolognese full of meat was served. “Let’s eat. It’s to celebrate your belated birthday!”
“Thank you.” Rosalie lowered her head and began to eat the spaghetti quietly.
Amelia didn’t disturb her. She served other customers while she cleaned up. She continued to run her diner.
It was only after Rosalie finished her pasta that Amelia sat back at the table again.
“What happened yesterday? Did something happen to you?” Amelia asked worriedly.
“Something did happen. Jonathan and I have broken up. I have moved out of the Youngblood residence,” Rosalie responded
calmly.
After one night, she could say these words calmly. She decided that she had to be able to let go of her relationship.
Amelia was shocked when she heard the news. Rosalie’s calmness made her feel even more sorry for her.
“I am also a person who has experienced emotional relationships. How could I not know the pain of breaking up? If you were
really in love before, how can you be so calm after breaking up? The calmness is just a struggle to suppress the pain,” Amelia
said to herself.
However, Amelia didn’t know what to say to Rosalie in such a situation. After all, she was also a loser in her own love life.
At that time, she didn’t know what comfort she could give.
“Perhaps only time can truly heal all these sufferings,” Amelia thought.
“Ms. Haab, don’t worry. I’m not as fragile as you think I am!” Rosalie noticed the worry in Amelia’s eyes, so she tried her best to
put on a smile.

“By the way, I bought this cake for Aiden. I didn’t have a chance to treat him to my birthday cake yesterday. Please bring this to
him. When I’m free, I’ll take him to the amusement park and treat him to a bigger cake.”
“Aiden will be very happy if he hears this. He is going to give you the birthday present he has picked for you,” Amelia said.
“Ms. Haab, you are so lucky to have such a lovely child as Aiden.” Rosalie couldn’t help but envy her.
“Yes, I feel blessed too.” Amelia’s eyes flashed with tenderness at the mention of her son, even though her relationship with
Warren had been utterly painful.
However, Aiden was all she needed in her life.
She lived only to keep Aiden company and see him grow up.
Amelia looked at the time after Rosalie left. It was almost time to close her diner, so she tidied up, closed the doors and windows,
and pulled down the rolling shutter. When she turned around with the cake that Rosalie bought for Aiden, she was completely
stunned.
