The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 492
“How handsome is he?” Callum raised an eyebrow.
“If I were 20 years younger, I swear I would go after him right away! I can’t even imagine how many girls he will enchant when he
starts kindergarten!” Lillian exclaimed, suddenly transforming into a devoted fan of Aiden.
Callum furrowed his brows and thought, “Handsome and cute? And she’s even going to chase after him? Talk about being
awkward!”
“If you were 20 years younger, would you really pursue him?” he inquired.
“Yes! You have not met him yet. You should meet him the next time Rosalie brings him out. Rosalie claims he is even more
attractive in person than he appears in photos...” Lillian’s voice paused as she noticed Callum’s expression was not quite right.
She quickly changed her tone and said, “Of course, even if he is handsome and cute, he is not as good-looking as you!”
She sighed inwardly as she abruptly changed the subject. She had almost forgotten how easily Callum became envious.
“Do you really think I’m good-looking?” he asked, scrutinizing her.
She continued to flatter him, saying, “Of course. He is no match for you. They say that kids who look good when they are young
do not always grow up to be good-looking.”
“So, do you mean that I didn’t look good when I was a child?” he asked.
When she heard those words, Lillian almost choked. “That’s not what I meant. You must have been very attractive when you
were younger. In any case, you are the most handsome man now! You have no idea how much I adored you when I first saw you
all those years ago. And I have not forgotten about you after all these years...”
Her throat felt parched, and she was embarrassed at her own remarks. Although it was generally accepted that women prefer to
hear flattering remarks, Callum found those remarks to be enjoyable as well.
When Lillian said those words, she pitied herself and felt disgusted.
It was, however, her own fault that she fell in love with him. She had no other option but to coax him.
Although Callum knew that Lillian’s flattery at that moment wasn’t entirely genuine, he couldn’t help but feel a bit pleased by it.

As a result, he did not intervene and allowed her to continue.
Afterward, Lillian had already finished her drink, and Callum had not yet stopped her. She licked her lips and swallowed her
saliva. “Do you finally understand what I am saying? In my opinion, you are the most handsome.”
“Ever since I was a child?” he asked calmly.
She nodded vigorously.
“But you’ve never seen what I looked like as a child, have you?” he inquired.
Her head, which had been nodding vigorously, suddenly froze. “How about you give me a childhood photo of yourself, and I
promise to keep it with me at all times?” she proposed.
“Sure. I’ll give you a photo from my childhood later,” he agreed.
The moment Lillian realized he was really going to give her his childhood photo, she was speechless..
Nevertheless, when Lillian considered how adorable Callum must have been as a child, Lillian began to anticipate seeing
Callum’s childhood photos.
Rosalie’s mood turned gloomy as the date for the court hearing in the hit-and-run compensation case involving Larry
approached.
Even if a lawsuit was successful, there was a high likelihood that no compensation would be awarded.
At noon, Lucas called Rosalie and asked, “Do you know where the actress, Aubrielle Wood, is? I-I would like to meet her.”
“Is there a problem?” Rosalie inquired.
“All I want to do is talk to her about Larry’s situation. Maybe she will sympathize with Larry. I am not asking her to admit that she
was the one driving, but she might be willing to give Larry’s family some money so that he could have better treatment, Lucas
explained. He just wanted to make one last effort.
Larry was, after all, an employee of his company, but the company was still in its early stages, and its ability to assist Larry’s
family was severely limited.

Even though the company had made several donations to Larry’s family, it was still insufficient to cover the enormous medical
expenses they faced.
On the other hand, the actress Aubrielle was quite well-known, and there were recent reports that she had purchased a home
that cost 12 million dollars, implying that she might be able to cover Larry’s medical expenses temporarily.
Rosalie was hesitant because the evidence at the time was insufficient. Even if the case was heard, the court might not be able
to determine that Aubrielle was the true perpetrator. Perhaps the only thing she could do to help Larry was to make Aubrielle feel
sorry for him.
“All right, I’ll take you there,” Rosalie replied. She had been keeping an eye on Aubrielle’s activities recently and knew that
Aubrielle was filming in the film studio at the time.
“Okay. I’ll come to pick you up later,” Lucas said.
“Okay,” Rosalie replied before hanging up the phone and going back to sorting through her documents.
Shortly afterward, Lucas arrived. Rosalie got into the car, and they headed toward the film studio.
“Are you all right that day?” Lucas started a conversation.
Rosalie was taken aback for a moment before realizing what he meant. He was referring to the incident in which Jonathan forced
her car to a halt. His driver then approached her to invite her into his vehicle.
“I’m fine,” Rosalie replied.
“Who is that person anyway?” Lucas paused for a moment before asking, “Is he your boyfriend?”
Hearing that, Rosalie smiled bitterly. “Maybe he used to be, but not anymore,” she thought, “No, I do not have a boyfriend right
now, and I do not intend to get one,” she said calmly.
Lucas fell silent and didn’t say anything more.
When they arrived at the film studio, Rosalie led Lucas to Aubrielle’s film crew.
Rosalie approached Aubrielle and asked, “Ms. Wood, can we talk for a moment?”

“Why are you here again?” Aubrielle frowned, frustrated.
“Hi. The court hearing is coming up, so I wanted to meet you again, Ms. Wood,” Rosalie explained and then introduced Lucas.
“This is Larry’s colleague, and he has something he wants to discuss with you. Is it okay?”,
“What is it? Hurry up. I’m about to shoot my scene,” Aubrielle said impatiently.
Lucas quickly explained Larry’s situation at the time in the hospital and said, “Ms. Wood, Larry’s family really cannot afford the
medical expenses anymore. However, if we stop using the imported medication, Larry’s recovery will be even more difficult. He’s
only 25 years old, still young. Ms. Wood, could you please pay Larry’s medical bills in advance for the time being? They will
repay you when the compensation is received or when his family has the money.”
The instant Aubrielle heard that her face immediately darkened. “Why are you asking me to pay for his medical expenses? I’m
not the one responsible for the accident. Why should I pay for it?”
