The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 503
Rosalie stared at Carlos, expecting him to hold Jonathan again.
But Carlos smiled awkwardly and looked at Rosalie. “Well... Ms. Leighton, please take care of Mr. Youngblood for the night. I’ll
come and pick him up tomorrow morning. If you need anything tonight, you can call me anytime.”
After saying that, Carlos took out his business card and put it on the cabinet next to the door of the rental home. Then, he
thoughtfully closed the door for Rosalie.
Rosalie suddenly felt helpless. It seemed that Carlos was determined to leave Jonathan with her that day.
She hesitated to stay with him in the room all night. She gritted her teeth and could only help him walk toward the bed first...
Carlos got in the car, glanced at the residential area’s gate, and sighed.
He had not seen Jonathan get drunk in years. Jonathan had always been a calm, restrained, and rational man.
That was why he could persevere under the strict training method of Leonard and finally take over the Youngblood family from
him.
However, Carlos did not expect a man like Jonathan to drink and get so drunk with Calvin, as if they were two young men
competing with each other by drinking.
If the gossipy media knew about it, they would be so shocked that their jaw would drop.
Thinking that Calvin’s condition was not much better than Jonathan’s when he left, Carlos sighed again.
No one would have thought that Jonathan, a famous scion in the entertainment industry, would fall in love with Rosalie. And
Jonathan refused to let go of Rosalie after breaking up with her.
No one knew what kind of charm Rosalie had that the two men would get drunk over her!
Carlos thought he would not feel strange if something serious happened in Strico one day because of Rosalie.
But he did not know what Rosalie actually thought of Calvin.

“If Rosalie really fell in love with Calvin...” Thinking of that, Carlos could not help shivering. If it happened one day, he was afraid
something big would happen to Strico.
Carlos thought it was better not to think about that possibility.
Under the yellow light, Rosalie looked at Jonathan lying on her simple, wooden bed.
He was drunk, with his eyes closed and his hair a little messy. His skin was blushing after drinking. His long eyelashes
occasionally trembled slightly, and his face looked softer under the light.
Speaking of which, his facial features were indeed well-defined and good-looking. And he looked pure, like an angel, with less
unpredictable and uncertain feelings than usual when awake.
The word “angel” actually had nothing to do with him. To her, someone like him could never be an angel.
But Rosalie could not help but stare at Jonathan obsessively at that moment. Perhaps it was because he looked so harmless at
present, which reminded her of him when she had no idea about his identity and background.
At that time, he was so pure and innocent in her eyes. He was the person who warmed her when she was lonely.
She had been trying to do everything she could to protect his purity and even wanted to protect him for the rest of her life.
And later, the thought of protecting him became even stronger after she fell in love with him.
Even though she knew he was powerful and his abilities were much stronger than hers, she still wanted to protect him with all
her strength.
If he felt insecure, she would do everything to give him a sense of security, love him, and let him understand how important
he was to her.
However, what happened later made her understand that what she had done was just a joke.
He never needed her to protect him. Instead, she was just a pawn to him.
Rosalie smiled bitterly, bent down, and took off Jonathan’s shoes. She planned to cover him with a quilt, and then she would
sleep on the chair for the night.

The bed was against the wall, and the quilt was also against the wall. Hence, she needed to cross his body to pull the quilt.
Rosalie leaned over, and just when she pulled one corner of the quilt and was about to cover Jonathan, she found he had
opened his eyes somehow.
His dark eyes were bright and stunning because of his drunkenness.
“Rosie...” His lips opened slightly, and her name was called out from his mouth.
All of a sudden, Rosalie’s body stiffened. Before she could react, his hands had already wrapped around her waist and pulled her
into his arms.
Rosalie was caught off guard, and her upper body was lying on Jonathan.
She instinctively wanted to prop herself up and break free from his embrace.
But his hands seemed to hold her tightly.
“Rosie, don’t... fall in love with Calvin... Okay?” His voice was hoarse, mixed with the strong smell of alcohol, overwhelming the
room.
“I won’t fall in love with Calvin or anyone. Are you satisfied with my answer? Let go of me. I’ll cover you with the quilt.” She just
wanted to get out of his arms as soon as possible.
“You won’t... fall in love with anyone?” he murmured her words. Then, the next moment, he turned over and pinned Rosalie
directly beneath his body. “So you won’t love me anymore?”
Rosalie only felt the position she was in made it even more difficult for her to break free.
Half his weight was on her, and the mixed smell of alcohol with the faint scent of cologne on him went straight to her nose.
“We’ve already broken up. You said you don’t want to love me anymore. Do you still want me to love you?” Rosalie thought his
words were a little ridiculous.
She thought it was probably because he got drunk that he said such a thing.
“You’re drunk. Let me get up quickly,” she said.

“So... don’t you really love me?” he murmured in a low voice, and his drunken look seemed to be gradually covered with pain,
Rosalie was dumbfounded and thought she might be seeing it wrongly. She mocked inwardly. “Pain? It was him who broke us
up. Why would he be in pain?”
“Yes, I don’t love you,” she answered him calmly.
In an instant, the pain in his eyes-became even worse. It was so obvious that even Rosalie could not tell if she had seen it
wrongly.
Because she could clearly see the pain in his eyes, which was so severe as if he had lost the most important thing.
