The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 613
In the living room of the mansion, the phone rang over and over again. Calvin looked down at the ringing phone, seemingly
struggling with something, but he didn’t answer it for a long time.
It was a call from Rosalie, but he didn’t know how to face her.
“She’s been calling me nonstop. But why? Is it because of Lucas? Is she trying to plead for Lucas?” he thought.
At this moment, Fiona, who had come in not long ago and glimpsed the caller ID on the phone, pretended to be confused as she
said, “Hey, Calvin, aren’t you going to answer the phone? It’s Rosalie. I suppose she’s calling because of Lucas. I met her at the
gate just now. She kept saying that she wanted to see you and needed to tell you something. I didn’t expect that she could be so
persistent for Lucas!”
Fiona deliberately claimed that Rosalie was standing outside because of Lucas.
Sure enough, Calvin directly picked up the phone and turned it off. He was no longer struggling with his decision.
Fiona was overjoyed, but she didn’t show it. She said to Calvin, “Calvin, are you really not going to see Rosalie? I don’t know if
she’s still outside...”
Calvin said coldly, “Enough. Stop talking.”
“Everything she’s doing now is for Lucas! Does she really care so much about that man? I know I’m being jealous of that man.
I’m jealous that he is so important to her!” he muttered inwardly.
Rosalie stood there all night, waiting. She had made many calls, and in the end, all she heard was the automated voice saying
that the phone had been turned off.
Rosalie smiled bitterly. Her thin body looked a little shaky in the night breeze. The security guard came forward to persuade her
several times, but she still shook her head, indicating that she would continue to wait.
Waves of exhaustion relentlessly washed over her body. Every time she was about to lose her footing, about to lie down on the
road and fall asleep because she was so sleepy, she told herself that Lillian was suffering much more and was in more pain than
her.
If she couldn’t hold on now, what about Lillian?

Soon, it was dawn. The security guards had changed shifts, and Rosalie finally saw a silver-gray car coming out of the mansion.
Using almost all her strength, she rushed toward the car and stopped it.
The car stopped. The security guard rushed over and shouted at Rosalie, “Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
Rosalie was silent. She just looked at Calvin, who was sitting in the back seat of the car through the window. However, she
couldn’t see clearly from this angle. She couldn’t see his face clearly and could only see his profile!
“I... just want to see Calvin. I just want to see... Cal,” Rosalie choked out. She didn’t dare to close her eyes all night, for fear that
she would miss it and not see him when he left.
Now that she finally got to meet him, she wanted him to know that he was her hope. He was Lillian’s hope to survive.
In the car, Calvin also saw Rosalie through the window. She looked haggard, and her eyes seemed to be more swollen than
usual. She was blocking the car in that manner with her thin body.
He was shocked and also surprised.
“Did she stay here all night? I thought she would go back after she realized she wouldn’t be able to meet me,” he thought.
He suddenly felt as if he was stabbed by something and wanted to open the door.
Fiona piped up, “Calvin, why don’t you get out of the car and promise Rosalie that you will let Lucas go? I could leave it alone for
your sake. No matter how much Lucas has hurt me, I’ll let it slide. Otherwise, I’m afraid she will continue to force you to agree to
her request. After all, she cares about Lucas so much.”
Calvin, who was about to open the door, suddenly stopped when he heard that.
He thought, “Yeah. How can I forget that everything she’s doing is just for Lucas? Her haggardness, her sadness, and her
persistence are all just for Lucas!”
“Drive!” Calvin ordered the driver, then leaned against the seat and slowly closed his eyes.
The driver rolled down the window and said to the security guard outside, “Pull her away. Mr. Gunner doesn’t want to see this
woman.”
Rosalie’s expression stiffened, and then she shouted, “Calvin, I really need to talk to you. I need your help...”

The car window slowly closed, drowning out her voice.
And the next moment, she was already pulled away by the security guard.
The car slowly drove away in front of her. Rosalie used almost all her strength to push the security guard away and chase
after the car, but no matter how hard she ran, she couldn’t catch up. The gap between her and the car was steadily/ increasing.
In the car, Fiona was secretly delighted to see Rosalie chasing after the car.
“Since Rosalie has given up the fact that she saved Calvin as a child, there’s nothing wrong with me using that identity. Calvin
will only be mine in the end!” Fiona thought.
Rosalie didn’t know how long she had been running. Even if she tried her best to run, the car eventually disappeared from her
sight.
At this moment, a kind of overwhelming despair washed over her as she wondered who else could save Lillian.
She stood on the road blankly and felt that everything around her seemed to be turning dark.
“Who else can save Lillian? It doesn’t matter if it costs my life as long as I can save Lillian,” she muttered to herself
At this moment, Jonathan’s face appeared in her mind.
Her body suddenly trembled, and her eyes, which were filled with despair, were replaced by hope.
Even if Jonathan hated her now, she had to try for Lillian’s sake.
Rosalie arrived at the entrance of the Youngblood Group building. The office hour for Youngblood Group began at nine o’clock,
and now it was only over eight o’clock.
She stayed at the entrance and waited quietly. After seeing Rosalie brought into the company by his boss yesterday, the security
guard didn’t dare to say anything more today.
As he did not know the relationship between Rosalie and the CEO, he merely allowed her to stand there.
After some time, when fewer and fewer people entered the building, a familiar black car drove over. Rosalie’s eyes lit up.

It was Jonathan’s car.
