Chapter 686
His body suddenly stiffened. Her voice and her hug seemed to calm his anxiety. He thought, “Oh, my dear Rosalie...”
Because of her, he felt that it was good to be alive.
If he hadn’t met her, life would be nothing but an empty shell for him. He wouldn’t even experience any joys or sorrows. He would
just be a living corpse that couldn’t feel the pleasure of life.
“Rosie, don’t let my dreams be shattered,” he murmured.
“It won’t be a dream. Our happiness will be real and won’t be as illusory as a dream,” Rosalie said seriously.
“So Jon, your dreams won’t be shattered. We will only experience more real happiness.”
He slowly raised his head, gazed at her, then lowered his head and kissed her lips. “Okay, it won’t be a dream from now on.”
He thought, “Will our future look like what I envision? I only hope that there will never be a day when my dreams are shattered!”
If it was just a beautiful dream for her to stay by his side for the rest of her life, he hoped that he would live in this beautiful dream
until the day he died.
Rosalie received a call from Stephen and Abigail, who told her that Lillian had woken up. So she rushed to the hospital
immediately.
Through the transparent glass wall, Rosalie saw Lillian who was still in the ICU ward. Her eyes turned red.
Although Lillian had woken up, she could only open her eyes for a while and give some reactions. She couldn’t make any sound,
let alone tell them the reason why she was injured.
When Rosalie arrived at the hospital, Lillian only woke up for a while and then. fell asleep again. After all, she was too weak now.
“It’s great that she finally regains her consciousness. She’ll slowly recover in the future,” Rosalie said to Stephen and Abigail.
Stephen and Abigail nodded, but the latter couldn’t help crying again. “As you weren’t here earlier, you didn’t see it. As soon as
she woke up, she kept opening her mouth and trying to say something desperately. However, we spent a long time reading her
lips before finding that she was asking about Callum. We can only lie to her that Callum is safe, but now the White family has a
lot on their plate, so he isn’t in Strico. We told her he would come to see her in a few days to calm her down. I don’t know what
happened to Callum. I wonder if he is alive or dead. If something really happened to him, how can Lillian take the news with her
current condition?”

Abigail was worried.
“Callum is still alive,” Rosalie said.
“What? He’s not dead? Did the police find him?” Stephen and Abigail immediately became excited.
“I just heard that someone had seen him in Jacaster, but the police hadn’t officially found him yet. So we have to wait for the
police’s update,” Rosalie said.
She deliberately skipped the part about the intimate interaction between Callum and the “real” daughter of the Tall family as she
didn’t want Stephen and Abigail to worry further.
After all, things had not been ascertained. No one knew what was going on with Callum.
However, now that Lillian woke up, they still needed to find a way to contact Callum so that they could reassure Lillian.
When Rosalie went to see Lillian the next day, Lillian had just fallen asleep.
Now, Lillian was only awake for one or two hours every day. She was still asleep most of the time. It would take a while before
she could stay awake for a longer time.
Amelia came a little earlier than Rosalie, so she saw Lillian in her waking hours through the transparent glass.
Amelia had always felt that Lillian’s personality was similar to her own back then, so when she saw the latter in such a state, her
eyes uncontrollably turned red. She had a tough life, and now, she only had six months left to live, but she hoped that Lillian
could live well.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t help Lillian at all.
After visiting Lillian, Amelia and Rosalie walked out of the hospital together.
“Amelia, how are you feeling? Do you want me to find you an expert for consultation?” Rosalie asked with concern.
“I’m okay. My condition is stable at present. Besides, the doctor I’m seeing now is also an expert in this field,” Amelia said.
Rosalie had also checked that the attending physician who treated Amelia was indeed a famous expert in liver cancer. “If you
don’t have enough money for the treatment, please tell me.”

“Okay, I got it.” Amelia smiled. Although she had a rough life, she was lucky to have met a friend like Rosalie in the last year of
her life.
“By the way, where is Ajden? How is he now? Did he like the toys and clothes I bought him last time?”, Rosalie asked.
“He likes them very much. He has been playing with the toys you bought for him these days, but he is reluctant to wear the new
clothes. He said that he will wear them when he goes out next time,” Amelia said.

Rosalie laughed and remembered that when she was young, she wanted to wear new clothes every day, which was the opposite
case.
“Then I’ll take him out to play next time and see how he looks in his new clothes.” Rosalie said.
“Okay.” Amelia said. Then, her eyes flashed with gloom as if she had thought of something
They walked to the hospital entrance. Rosalie wanted to send Amelia home, but Amelia said hurriedly. “No need. I have
something else to do today.”
“Then I’ll take you to the place where you’re heading,’ said Rosalie.
“Don’t bother. It’s convenient for me to take the subway!” Amelia didn’t wait for Rosalie to say anything more as she quickly
walked towards the subway entrance near the hospital.
After entering the subway station, Amelia breathed a long sigh of relief and smiled bitterly.
She didn’t have the heart to tell Rosalie that Aiden said his wish in the kindergarten’s My Wish activity was going to an
amusement park with Warren. Nor she could tell Rosalie that Aiden drew a picture of his parents holding his hands in
kindergarten, looking happy and sweet
Even when she went to pick up Aiden once, the kindergarten teacher hinted at her that Aiden lacked some fatherly love and
hoped that she could communicate with his father.
Aiden was sensible and had never shown that he missed Warren like this in front of her. Therefore, when she learned all this
from the teacher, she was shocked.
Her son’s sensibility and precocity made her sad.
She had always thought that she could give Aiden motherly and fatherly love by playing the role of both mother and father, but it
turned out that she still couldn’t. Her days were numbered, but she wanted to satisfy her son’s wishes before she died at least,
so that maybe she could die in peace.
