The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 806
Jonathan summoned Carlos to the office that day. However, upon his arrival, Jonathan simply fixed him with an intense, wordless
gaze, leaving Carlos utterly perplexed about what was going on.
Carlos pondered if there was any disagreement between Jonathan and Rosalie.
Just as Carlos’ mind was filled with numerous speculations, Jonathan said, “Do you really not know why Rosalie left me?”
Carlos almost choked on his saliva.
“Mr. Youngblood, why did you suddenly ask about this?”
“You said before that she left me because of Melanie’s case, didn’t you?” Jonathan said.
“P-Perhaps. I mean, we’re not Mrs. Youngblood, and it was all conjecture. Just speculations.” Carlos was sweating profusely.
“Mrs. Youngblood herself also can’t recall why she left back then. When I think about it now, maybe the reason wasn’t what we
believed, especially considering she mentioned after she returned this time that she forgave you upon learning the truth of the
case, Mr. Youngblood.”
“Forgive me?” Jonathan scoffed. Indeed, she did forgive him, but she could not bear his touch. She would retch whenever he
touched her.
“Could it be called forgiveness?” he thought.
Or, perhaps, she had not forgiven him at all. It was just because she had lost her memory that she mistakenly thought she had
forgiven him. “Contact Dr. Giuseppe from abroad and invite him to Strico, but keep it low-key. Keep the news from Rosalie, too,”
Jonathan said.
Carlos was taken aback. If he recalled correctly, Giuseppe was an expert in brain memory from abroad and had authored
numerous papers on individuals with amnesia.
Carlos began to contemplate Jonathan’s intentions. “Are you planning to regain your memory?”
“Yes,” Jonathan answered lightly. In reality, most of his memories had already been restored, and the remaining gaps were
relatively minor. However, that minor part was also the most important to him.

“But as Dr. Hale mentioned earlier, if you attempt to use hypnosis or a

similar method to recover your memory, it could be unbearable for your mind, Mr. Youngblood. In such a scenario, you might
have a mental
breakdown before your memory could be recovered.” Carlos expressed his concerns.
This was also why they had refrained from disclosing the incident of falling into the sea to him.
Now that Rosalie was back, in Carlos’ view, the restoration of Jonathan’s memory was no longer of utmost importance. After all,
even if he had amnesia, Jonathan still held a special place in Rosalie’s heart, and that fundamental connection remained
unchanged.
“That’s why I want to meet Dr. Giuseppe. Since I want to restore my memory, there is always a way,” Jonathan said.
“But... why not take it one step at a time? Mrs. Youngblood is back now, too. Perhaps if you spend time with her, some of the
past memories might resurface gradually, and your memory could come back naturally,” Carlos suggested. This was, of course,
the best outcome they could hope for.
“I don’t want to wait!” Jonathan asserted firmly. He was concerned that the longer he delayed the recovery of his memory, the
more
uncertainties might arise.
Now, he wanted to know why Rosalie left him back then.
Carlos’ face was full of embarrassment. Jonathan was determined to recover his memory, but Carlos was uncertain whether he
should reveal the past.
After all, they had kept these facts from Jonathan in the past, and now, even if he disclosed the truth, Jonathan might not believe
it and could
become angry,
Moreover, Jonathan did not allow him to tell anyone about going to Giuseppe. In other words, he could not even find others to
discuss this

matter!
“All right, you can leave me alone for now,” Jonathan said.
“No problem.” Carlos left the office.
Jonathan leaned back against the chair, closed his eyes, and murmured, “Rosalie is still alive...”
He suddenly laughed. His laughter grew louder, but tears came out of his closed eyes.

Tears continued to fall from his eyes, one drop at a time.
As most of his memory had returned, he recollected their past
encounters, how they had fallen in love, their subsequent breakup, and their eventual marriage.
Those memories made him realize the depth of his love for her. It was through her that he came to grasp the feelings of fear,
regret, and helplessness.
The memory of Rosalie discovering the truth about Melanie’s case remained painful for him whenever he recalled it.
At first, he thought with self-righteousness that she would never know it as long as he covered up the truth.
However, it turned out that there were always accidents in this world.
Now that she had returned and loved him so deeply, it felt like a dream to him, causing him to worry that he might wake up one
day and find it all
gone.
These days, when she fell asleep every night, he would open his eyes
again and look at her sleeping face. Then, he would touch her with gentle hands..
It was as if he needed to reassure himself that she was indeed by his side and would not reject his touch.

“Don’t ever hate me. And please never leave me, okay?”
His raspy words melted softly into the air.
On the weekend, Rosalie and Jonathan went to the amusement park with their two children. It was because their daughter
suddenly pushed open the door one day and shouted at Rosalie, “Mommy, Guille has never been to the amusement park with
Daddy!”
Then, Jennifer began to tell her that she had always envied those children who could go to the amusement park with their father
and mother, but she did not have a father or brother to go to the amusement park together in the past.
Finally, she added, “Daddy, Mommy, when can I have a new brother and sister again?”
Rosalie almost slipped and fell. “Do you really want a new brother or sister?”
“But don’t Daddy and Mommy often kiss each other? Kissing will give. birth to a baby, right?”

Rosalie was sweating heavily. She could only describe her current state as stewing in her own juices. When Jennifer inquired
about how babies
came into the world before, she had lied to her by saying, “When a daddy and a mommy kiss, they will have a baby.”
