Chapter 823
At that, Rosalie sighed. “If the lawyer I met back then was my mentor...” Maybe she wouldn’t have gone to jail for three years.
She was just lamenting, but when Jonathan heard her words, he felt a pang in his chest.
When she found out the truth about the car accident back then, she claimed to have forgiven him, but her body language clearly
showed that she rejected and even hated him!
“I’m sorry,” Jonathan murmured.
Rosalie was stunned and then realized what he meant by that.
She thought for a while and said, “Jon, I’ve already forgiven you back then for that. Although I found out about the truth, it’s
natural that I would be upset, disappointed, and unsure of who else I could trust.”
After a pause, she slowly raised her hand and held his face. His skin was slightly cold, and his beautiful eyes were fixed on her
at the moment. There was pain and regret in them just like they did back then.
She felt a pinch in her heart.
“But I know you regretted just standing by and not doing anything. You regret not reaching a helping hand out to me despite
knowing who the true culprit was.” Rosalie said, “So, at that time when we were together, you always asked me if I would forgive
you if I found out that you had done something wrong in the future.”
Jonathan was silent.
“Do you know how I answered you at that time?” she asked, not knowing that he had recovered that part of his memory.
He parted his thin lips and said hoarsely, “So, how did you answer?”
“I said I’ll forgive you. Even if you really did something wrong, I will forgive you,” said Rosalie.
His gaze flickered slightly, “So, you’ve forgiven me because of this promise, right?”
She bit her red lips slightly. “It’s not just because of that promise. It’s also because... I love you!”
He looked at her with surprise in his eyes.
“If it’s someone else, I won’t forgive them. But Jon, it’s you. I’m willing to
forgive you because... you are the person I want to be with for the rest of my life. Even if I am in pain, I still can’t let you go.”
He raised his hand and gently covered the back of her hand. “Rosie... Say it again. Say that you can’t bear to leave me.”
“I can’t bear to leave you,” she repeated as he wished. “Jon, you know what? You always make my heart ache for you.”
Just like now, he showed such a fragile but tender expression, which made her heart seem to ache again with faint pain.
She hoped that he could smile happily and there would be no more weakness in his beautiful eyes.
Jonathan felt a lump form in his throat. Everyone thought that he was strong enough, so they only had respect and fear for him.
Even when Leonard was alive, he only treated Jonathan as a tool for the Youngblood family to carry on its glory.
Only she would have her heart ache for him.
“Jon, you are the man I would remember again and be with even after I lost my memory. So, don’t worry anymore because I will
never leave you.” She tiptoed to kiss his lips.
She wanted to give him enough security so that he wouldn’t be so uneasy
anymore.
If she couldn’t do it five years ago, then she hoped that she could do it
now!
She was willing to treat Jonathan with all the gentleness she had.
Rosalie kissed Jonathan like this. When the kiss ended, she gasped slightly. “Do you understand now?”
He looked at her deeply, and his thin lips opened lightly. “Rosie, can you care more about me?”
His words seemed to be a kind of enchantment, which made Rosalie burn with desire in an instant. She wanted to take the man
in front of
her.
She pushed him down on the bed and untied his bathrobe.
Jonathan lay down obediently, and his black eyes were staring at her all the time as if he couldn’t get enough of her.
“Jon, can you smile? I like to see you smile,” Rosalie murmured.
“Okay.” He responded gently, and a smile slowly appeared on the corners
of his mouth. It was so beautiful and mesmerizing.
As long as it was what she wanted, he would give her everything, be it his body, his smile, or even his soul. He was afraid that
one day she would not want them anymore and that what he had was not good enough.
Rosalie was almost obsessed with Jonathan’s smile.
She bent down and kissed him on the face and his beautiful neck.
“Jon, we’ll always be together...”
She intertwined her fingers with his as she spoke.
“Forever?” Jonathan thought to himself as he felt her kisses on his body. The image of her vomiting in front of the sink and
looking at him with a pale and weak face flashed in his mind again.
At that time, he had no courage to approach and touch her.
He only wished that everything could be as she said and they would always be together....
When Lillian went to work the next day, she found that many colleagues looked at her from time to time and whispered behind
her.
She didn’t take it seriously until one of her colleagues whom she had a good relationship with reminded her, “Lillian, go take a
look at the forum.”
Hearing this, Lillian opened the forum and immediately understood what was going on.
Someone had posted something on the internal forum. The title of the post read, “Running Into My Colleague Being a
Homewrecker.” There were two photos attached to the post, one of which was the back view of Callum pulling her into a hotel,
and the other was of her coming out of the hotel in a different outfit.
In the photo of her exiting the hotel, three-quarters of her face could be seen, so anyone who knew her could recognize her.
Lillian couldn’t help frowning. “Who took this picture? Who wanted to mess with me so much that they had to put it on the
forum?” she thought.
At this moment, Rebecca’s voice sounded. “What? Are you also looking at your gossip? Alas, Lillian, and to think I thought so
highly of you. I thought you were some self-righteous person, but as soon as Callum came to Strico, you went to sleep with him.
He has a girlfriend! And the news said that he and his girlfriend are about to get married!”
Lillian turned around and saw that Rebecca’s face was full of ridicule and smugness as if she could finally step on Lillian and
slander her.
