The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 862
Jonathan looked at Rosalie with confusion. “Why would you suddenly think about adopting a child?”
“It happened when I was at Amelia’s place today. I saw the kid named Zeki from the amusement park we visited last time...”
Rosalie recounted what had happened today to Jonathan.
“That kid has no blood relation with his current family, and his foster parents don’t treat him well. The abuse might not even
decrease in the future,” Rosalie didn’t expect the conversation with Zekiah’s foster parents to change anything. After all, once
beating a child became a habit, it would be difficult to change in the future.
“Since that child was originally adopted, why don’t we have his foster parents dissolve the adoption, and we can adopt him?”
Rosalie suggested.
Jonathan smiled faintly. “You seem to care a lot about that child. Do you like him that much?”
“Maybe because he’s about the same age as Guille and Jennifer.” Rosalie hesitated
for a moment and continued, “Plus, there’s something special about hitated
“Special?” Jonathan raised an eyebrow. “What’s so special about him?”
“He’s not like ordinary children, innocent and naive. He doesn’t whine, and he’s not spoiled or capricious. Even if he was covered
in injuries, he would claim they didn’t hurt. However, that makes me even more sympathetic.” Rosalie explained.
“I’m fine with adopting that child. However, I think that child may not be willing.” Jonathan said. “I remember he seems to have a
good relationship with his sister. He may not want to be separated from her.”
“Even if we adopt him, I won’t stop them from seeing each other as siblings. We can also take him to visit his sister regularly.”
“But even so, he wouldn’t want to!” Jonathan said.
“Why?” Rosalie was a little confused. “If he joins a new family, he would not be beaten and scolded. He could also receive a
better education...”
“But his sister won’t be around, right?”

“But I can take him to visit his sister.”
“But still, he might not be willing,” Jonathan argued. “Why? If he’s not in that family, he won’t be able to see his sister as soon as
he opens his eyes every day or see her before going to bed. If I were him, I wouldn’t want to leave that family.” From what she
told him about the child, he could sense the significance of that. little girl to Zekiah.
It was precisely because Zekiah was still a child that he was more straightforward
and pure in his choices, without the kind of calculated weighing of pros and cons that adults often do.
Since that child appeared indifferent to everything else but deeply cared for his sister, it was evident that he would never be
willing to be apart from her, not even for a single moment!
Rosalie wanted to say more, but Jonathan interrupted, “Why not ask the child. himself tomorrow? You mentioned he waits at the
school gate almost every day for his sister to finish school, right? Tomorrow, we can go there and ask him.” Rosalie thought,
“He’s right. I need to ask the child whether he wants it or not.” She agreed, but she found it odd. “Are you going to come with me
too?” “Since he’s a child you care about, I’m naturally interested. It is a good idea to visit. him, Jonathan said.
The next day, Rosalie took Jonathan to Amelia’s concession stand.
Amelia smiled slightly when she saw Jonathan. “Mr. Youngblood, thank you for your help back then. Without you, Irene’s deeds
might not have been exposed so thoroughly.”
“You’re still not together with Warren,” Jonathan commented.
“Yes, we’re not together now, and we won’t be in the future. We can’t go back to the way things were,” Amelia said candidly.
“He made mistakes in the past, but isn’t it possible for you to love him again in this lifetime?” Jonathan asked.
“Jon!” Rosalie was afraid that Jonathan’s direct question would make Amelia uncomfortable.
However, Jonathan continued to gaze at Amelia, as if waiting for her answer.
Amelia said, “Even if he spends his whole life making amends and regretting his actions, I won’t love him anymore.”
Her words were resolute.
Jonathan furrowed his brows slightly. “Why? He hurt you in the past because he was deceived. He didn’t do it on intention.”

“But in the beginning, he did it on purpose. He deliberately got close to me and made me fall in love with him. Later on, even
though he had many chances to investigate the truth, he chose not to. He preferred to believe I was the irredeemable one,”
Amelia explained. “Even if I did have feelings for him in the past, they’ve been worn away by the harm he caused. Some
mistakes, once made, will remain forever. And some feelings, once changed, can never be restored.” Jonathan’s eyes turned
dark, and his expression was overshadowed by a layer of gloom.
Rosalie quickly tugged on his sleeve and then turned to Amelia, saying, “Amelia, Im sorry. Don’t mind Jon.”
“It’s okay. The situation between Warren and me is not a secret, anyway,” Amelia replied.
Just then, a customer arrived, and Amelia attended to them. Rosalie asked Jonathan quietly, “Why did you ask Amelia these
questions?”
“It’s nothing. I was just asking casually,” Jonathan said. Warren’s past mistakes. caused Amelia to give up on him.
Jonathan also made a mistake back then, but Rosalie was still with him. However, his missing memories continued to unsettle
him.
Not long after, a small figure appeared again, walking toward the school gate.
It was Zekiah!
Rosalie and Jonathan walked toward the school gate together.
The child, as before, reached the iron gate at the school gate. He squatted down and waited quietly with an indifferent
expression.
Even with Rosalie and Jonathan beside him, he seemed to ignore their presence. Rosalie crouched down and asked, “Zeki, do
you remember me?”
The child slowly turned his head, looked at Rosalie, and then nodded.
“This is my husband. You can call him Mr. Youngblood,” Rosalie said.
Clearly, it was in vain to say this because the child had no intention of greeting Jonathan.
“Did your sister put medicine on your injuries? Do you feel better now?” Rosalie asked.

“She did, but I don’t feel any pain,” the child said, sounding confused. He didn’t understand why his sister insisted on applying
medicine when he didn’t feel any
pain. She said it would make the injuries heal faster.
