The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 880
Only then did Giuseppe snap back to his senses. He hurriedly snagged the syringe he had prepared in advance.
Seemingly out of instinct, Jonathan repeatedly slammed his fists on Rosalie’s back, trying to break free from her tight embrace.
He punched her time and again as though trying to break every single bone in her body.
However, Rosalie couldn’t let go of him then. If she did, he would only be in more danger. The longer he took to calm down, the
greater the risk to him.
“Mrs. Youngblood... I’ll restrain Mr. Youngblood instead,” Carlos suggested. As Jonathan’s fists fell on Rosalie, even he felt a
phantom pain despite being a man. “No, it’s okay... Just... Just help me hold Jon down so Dr. Giuseppe can administer the
sedative. I’m fine,” Rosalie insisted, but her face paled all the more.
Bam!
When another punch landed on her heavily, a burst of something coppery filled her mouth. In the next moment, a mouthful of
blood spurted out of her mouth. “Mrs. Youngblood!” Terror struck Carlos.
“Jon... Don’t be afraid. I’m here by your side. After the doctor gives you a sedative, you won’t be in so much pain anymore,”
Rosalie said intermittently. At that moment, she disregarded the pain racking her body. All she cared about was the number of
injuries he suffered.
Her vision began to blur, and even her consciousness started fading.
Yet, she couldn’t let go of him, having to wait until he no longer hurt and had calmed down.
Rosalie looked up groggily, trying her best to make out the man she was hugging. His eyes were still closed, and he was
seemingly still lost in the pain of his headache. His teeth clamped onto his lower lip tightly, and blood flowed even more severely.
“Don’t... Don’t bite your lips hard like this a
Do you know how distressed
I am to see you bleed like this?” she uttered soundlessly.

Aloud, she continued murmuring, “I... I’ll stay by your side. Don’t... think about those memories again. No matter what the past
was, I will stay with you... Jon... I will keep you company... until the world fades away.”
Rosalie brought her lips close to his, wishing he would not bite his lips like that and that the bleeding would stop.
Her lips captured his.
Their blood blended together.

“Jon... Jon... I will stay with you... until the world fades away,” echoed in Jonathan’s mind.
He wondered, “Who is talking? And who’s saying she’ll stay with me until the world fades away?”
The voice seemingly pulled him back from the pain bit by bit, making it gradually fade away.
Jonathan’s violent movements slowly stopped. His closed eyes finally opened bit by bit.
When the pale face entered his line of sight, he was stunned. It was as though everything around him ceased to exist, and she
was the only person left in the entire world.
Rosalie panted heavily, and there was a trace of bright red blood at the corner of her lips. “Don’t be afraid, Jon.”
“Don’t be afraid? But does she know how terrified I am to see her in such a condition right now?” Jonathan exclaimed inwardly.
“Rosie!” Jonathan cried out hoarsely.
At long last, Rosalie’s eyes closed in exhaustion. A strong sense of fatigue swept over her. But even though she had passed out,
her hands still held Jonathan tightly without letting go.
Carlos was stunned for a moment. “Mr. Youngblood, are you... are you lucid now? Your head... doesn’t hurt anymore?”
“It doesn’t hurt anymore.” Jonathan carried Rosalie in his arms, carefully removing her hands from around him. “I’m very lucid
now!”
Just then, Giuseppe stepped forward and said, “Mr. Youngblood, although you are lucid now, and your head is not hurting
anymore, it’s best for you to take a sedative and rest well to be safe. Although your hypnosis this time failed, the next time...”

“I don’t need another hypnosis,” Jonathan’s remark surprised both Giuseppe and Carlos.
“W-What do you mean by that, Mr. Youngblood? Are you not planning to regain your memory anymore?” Carlos asked in
surprise.
Jonathan stared intently at the woman in his arms. “No. There’s no longer any need.” Internally, he added, “Because I remember
now.”
Unfortunately, the memory he had regained was agonizingly painful to him. Two hours later, a smirk showed on the face of Kurt,
who was in prison, as he looked at the note in his hand. He murmured, “If you were still alive, Mr. Leonard Youngblood, would
you want Mr. Youngblood and Rosalie to be together or separated forever? If Mr. Youngblood really regained his memories,
things would be truly interesting.”

Meanwhile, Rosalie felt as though she had slept for a long time. In her dreams, someone kept calling her name in her ear.
“Rosie... Rosie... Rosie...”
She thought to herself, “That’s Jon calling me! Oh yes, Jon! How is he now? Is he okay?”
Rosalie’s eyes abruptly popped open. She was greeted by bright yellow light and a familiar voice. “You’re finally awake, Rosie!”
In the next moment, a familiar face entered her line of sight.
“Where am I, Jon?” Rosalie subconsciously wanted to sit up. But as soon as she moved, even her bones seemingly hurt. She
sucked in a breath in pain.
“Don’t get up. Just lie down,” Jonathan hurriedly urged. “You’re in the hospital. You were injured previously, so you needed some
tests done besides resting for a few days.”
“Injured?” Rosalie mused. Only then did she recall the events that transpired earlier. “What about you? Are you okay? Does your
head still hurt?”
“It doesn’t hurt anymore,” answered Jonathan.
“Don’t use this method to restore your memory again next time, Jon. I was really scared to death when I saw you in such a state.
Do you know how afraid I was that something would happen to you?” Rosalie pleaded in fear.

“So, you’d rather get hurt yourself than the other way round, right?” While Jonathan said that, he held Rosalie’s hands up. By
then, her hands had already been doctored. Nonetheless, they were still red and swollen. Her hands weren’t pretty in the first
place, but they were even more frightful then.
“How are... my hands?” Rosalie asked.
“Because you were unconscious, the doctor could only conduct a preliminary examination and take an X-ray. The bones aren’t
injured, but for the nerves in your hand, further examination is needed,” Jonathan replied.
“There’s no need for further examination. It’s just a minor injury,” Rosalie said nonchalantly, afraid that he would learn of the true
condition of her hands upon further examination, which would only intensify his guilt at that time.
“In the future, you are not allowed to do that again. Carlos said you hugged me with all your strength back then and even
vomited blood!” Jonathan thought, “Fortunately, she was found to be fine after she was admitted to the hospital and underwent
an examination. Otherwise, I would never forgive myself.”
