Chapter 938
“Jen is treating Felix as a friend!” At least, that was Rosalie’s opinion. Some friendships could last a lifetime.
“Is that so? Let us see if Jen treats Felix like a friend or as a toy, then,” Jonathan replied.
In the end, there was no conclusion to that matter.
Even though Rosalie had urged Jennifer not to sleep in Felix’s room, it was no use. Despite Rosalie’s persuasion, even if
Jennifer fell asleep in her own room in front of Rosalie at night, Rosalie would definitely find Jennifer in Felix’s room the next
morning.
Because of that, Rosalie had no choice but to let Jennifer be for now. Fortunately, Jennifer was only five years old, so Rosalie
wasn’t too worried about it.
At that moment, Guillermo was still awake, staring straight at Rosalie with those beautiful eyes similar to Jonathan’s.
“What is the matter, Guille? Do you want me to tell you a bedtime story before you go to bed?” Rosalie asked.
“Mommy, did you fight with Daddy?” Guillermo suddenly asked.
Rosalie was taken aback and then forced a smile. “Why would you think the two of us fought?”
“Because Daddy said he would come home early for dinner yesterday, but I could not reach him on the phone. And tonight, you
have been acting happy, but in truth, you’re unhappy,” he explained.
Rosalie was suddenly embarrassed by the fact that her five-year-old son Guillermo had seen through her.
“We did not argue or anything. We just have different points of view, so do not worry. I will make up with. your daddy.” Rosalie
gently patted Guillermo’s head.
Guillermo looked at Rosalie solemnly. “Mommy, will you really make up with Daddy?”
“Of course,” Rosalie responded.
“Let us make a pinky promise then.” Guillermo made a pinky promise gesture with one hand extended.
When Rosalie saw that, she was surprised. She remembered making a pinky promise like that with Jonathan when they had just
met a long time ago.
“Who taught you how to make a pinky promise?” Rosalie couldn’t help but ask.
“It was Daddy. According to him, this means you will absolutely keep your promise. Daddy had forgotten who taught him, but he
told me that once you make a pinky promise, you can’t back out!” Guillermo said.
Rosalie felt a lump in her throat. At that time, Jonathan probably hadn’t regained his memory, so he had forgotten who taught
him about it.
However, even though Jonathan had forgotten Rosalie back then, he still remembered the pinky promise. “All right. Pinky
promise.” Rosalie extended her hand, locking their pinkies together and finishing with their thumbs touching. “I’ll definitely make
up with your daddy. I promise!”
Hearing that, Guillermo finally smiled contentedly and then obediently lay back in bed, closing his eyes to sleep.
In no time, Guillermo had fallen asleep.
Rosalie looked at the hand she had just made a pinky promise with after noticing Guillermo was fast asleep.
Rosalie thought, “Yeah. I will definitely make up with Jon! However, I have no idea where he is, and his phone is turned off the
entire time. He could be at one of the Youngblood family’s mansions or at Youngblood Group.”
Rosalie thought for a moment, then stood up and went downstairs. She said to Gary, “Gary, I’m going out to find Jon. If he comes
back, please call my phone immediately.”
“But it’s getting late...” Gary expressed his concern.
“It is precisely because it is late that I need to go look for him!” Rosalie replied. She was determined to find him and apologize to
him as soon as possible. Otherwise, their misunderstandings might worsen and

become irreversible.
“Then I’ll arrange a car for you,” Gary offered.
Rosalie nodded in agreement. While she had recently re-gotten her driver’s license in Lofbury and had previously driven, her
emotions were currently unstable, and it was safer to have a driver handle the car.
Soon after, the driver took Rosalie to Youngblood Group’s headquarters, but Jonathan was not there, so Rosalie directed the
driver to drive to one of the mansions.
Nonetheless, on the way, Rosalie noticed the driver taking a different route. She couldn’t help but ask, “Why aren’t you going
straight ahead?”
“The navigation shows that the road ahead is blocked, so we have to take a detour,” the driver replied.
“Blocked?” Rosalie suddenly came to a realization. The road ahead was where Jonathan’s father had died and where she had
met Jonathan for the first time.
When she met Jonathan that night, he was by the roadside and had blocked off the entire road.
“Could Jon be there right now?” she wondered. The next moment, Rosalie instructed the driver, “Drive there immediately!”
Following her instructions, the driver turned the car around and headed toward the closed-off section of the road.
Sure enough, there were roadblocks in place at the entrance of the road. Rosalie got out of the car and saw a familiar car. It was
Jonathan’s car.
However, the person who had just stepped out of the car was not the one she wanted to meet. It was Carlos.
Carlos walked up to Rosalie and respectfully said, “Greetings, Mrs. Youngblood.”
“Is Jon here?” Rosalie asked.
“Yes, Mr. Youngblood is up ahead,” Carlos replied.
Rosalie took a deep breath and was about to walk toward the closed-off road, but Carlos reached out and stopped her. “Mr.
Youngblood has requested that no one disturb him tonight, so please return, Mrs. Youngblood.”
Rosalie extended her hand and pushed away the hand Carlos had used to stop her. “I’m not going back. Since he’s up ahead,
I’m going to find him. If you want to stop me, go ahead and try!”
Rosalie’s words were filled with unwavering determination. From the expression on Rosalie’s face and the aura she exuded,
Carlos knew that Rosalie was determined to move forward.

Force would have to be used to stop Rosalie, but she was the person that Jonathan cherished the most, so Carlos would never
dare to do so.
Ultimately, Carlos could only watch as Rosalie crossed the roadblock and walked into the vast, empty
road.
“Mr. Gibson, are you really not going to stop her?” one of the bodyguards asked Carlos.
“Whether I stop her or not, I am doomed. Who knows, by allowing Mrs. Youngblood to enter, she might be able to perform a
miracle,” Carlos answered.
After all, if anyone could influence Jonathan’s mood and decisions, it was Rosalie.
At that moment, Rosalie walked slowly toward the spot where they first met. A lone figure gradually appeared in her field of
vision.
Unlike the ragged clothing he wore when they first met, he was now dressed in the same black suit he had worn during the day.
His appearance seemed to blend into the darkness.
Rosalie approached Jonathan and softly called out, “Jon.”
Jonathan’s body tensed up slightly. After a brief moment, he slowly lifted his head. His clear yet captivating eyes locked onto
hers instantly.
