The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 97
Dexter and Robert were taken aback by their interaction.
It was said that Jonathan was not interested in women. Even when he was with his former fiancée, Melanie, they treated each
other respectfully. No one had ever seen Jonathan that close to a woman before.
Furthermore, he was publicly seeking justice for a woman.
“R-Rosalie, it is my fault. I should not have said that about you. I will never do it again. Please accept my apologies!” Mandy said
as she knelt and apologized.
Rosalie, on the other hand, observed Mandy without sympathy. After all, Mandy had never shown her any sympathy. She was
not the kind of person who would sympathize with someone who mocked and taunted her.
Even though Mandy was kneeling in front of her. Rosalie did not enjoy the situation. There was no satisfaction to be found
in it.
“Are you going to forgive her, Rosie?” Jonathan murmured as if presenting her with a choice.
Rosalie lowered her gaze and said, “It’s up to you. I’m hungry. I want to eat.”
“All right. Let’s go.” Jonathan said, holding Rosalie’s hand once more and motioning to Dexter to lead the
way.
Upon seeing that, Dexter immediately led the way, while Mandy remained dazed, kneeling in place, struggling to comprehend
what was going on.
“Did Jonathan just call Rosalie ‘Rosie? What does this mean? When did they get so close? Jonathan is obviously treating
Rosalie intimately earlier. They look more like lovers than friends!” Mandy pondered.
Following Jonathan’s departure, Robert angrily confronted Mandy, asking, “Are you tired of living? Next time, do not drag me into
your meaningless debate! Remember, it is not that I don’t want to help your family, but you offended Jonathan. In this case, I am
powerless to help.”

After Robert finished speaking, he marched toward the restaurant’s entrance.
Finally coming to her senses, Mandy quickly stood up and rushed over to Robert at the entrance.
“I had no idea that woman was connected to Jonathan. She intentionally set me up and tried to use Jonathan to get even with
me.”
“Whether she is doing it on purpose or not, Jonathan is on her side.”
Mandy hurriedly said, “But didn’t Jonathan spare me already? He just walked away without saying anything else.”
When Robert heard that, he gave Mandy the look one would give a fool. He used to think she was somewhat clever, but he
finally realized she was truly stupid at that moment.
Humans were never concerned about stepping on ants.
Without paying any more attention to Mandy, Robert left in his car. Before leaving, he told Mandy not to come looking for him
again.
Mandy’s expression was contorted.
She had worked hard to curry favor with Robert, even suffering losses in the process. In the end, she lost everything. “How can
this be happening? It’s all because of Rosalie! If she hadn’t met Jonathan, then... she thought.
Suddenly, a thought struck Mandy, and she shivered as she realized something-
“Could it be that Rosalie was the reason my car was vandalized and my family’s business got into trouble? Is it because I
mocked and plotted against Rosalie that things have turned out this way?” she pondered.
Her family had discussed the matter at the time, but they had no idea who they had offended. Mandy now felt she had found the
answer.
It was Jonathan all along.
Jonathan had been supporting Rosalie since then.
Meanwhile, Rosalie followed Jonathan into a private room.

snacks first.
“ler they both sat down, Jonathan had Dexter bring out some
“Here, have some to ease your hunger. The snacks here are quite good,” he said, picking up one of them and offering it to Her.
Rosalie paused for a moment before accepting it and beginning to eat bite by bite.
Next, Jonathan personally placed the menu in front of Rosalie and asked, “Rosie, take a look. Is there anything you’d like to
eat?”
Chapter 97
“I don’t mind. You go ahead and order. I don’t have any particular cravings, Rosalie replied. Despite the fact that she was eating
those delicate snacks, she felt as if she were chewing on wax. She couldn’t taste the flavors.
Jonathan squinted his eyes slightly, staring at Rosalie.
Instantly, a chill seemed to pervade the air around them.
Even Dexter held his breath, fearing that Jonathan might lose his temper in the private room.
Thankfully, a hint of a smile appeared on Jonathan’s face. “Then I’ll order for you.”
He then proceeded to order several dishes in quick succession. Dexter jotted them down before leaving the private room. After
Dexter exited the private room, he let out a long sigh of relief.
“Who would have guessed that the local tyrant of Strico would lavish attention on a woman who appeared unresponsive to his
affections?” he mused.
One of the waitresses, who was known for her fondness for gossip, approached Dexter and inquired, “Did Mr. Youngblood really
bring a woman to dine here? What is his relationship with that woman?”
Dexter gave the waitress a stern warning look. “Some questions should never be asked. Do you think he was joking when he
asked the woman to kneel and apologize earlier? Her days in Strico might not be so pleasant from now on!”

The waitress cowered in horror after hearing that, but she could not help but cast a glance toward Jonathan’s private room.
Inside the private room. Jonathan smiled gently at Rosalie. “Rosie, are these snacks not to your liking? If you want, I can have
them changed.”
“No need,” Rosalie declined, looking at the smiling man in front of her. She used to enjoy seeing his smile, feeling that it could
sweep away all weariness.
But now, looking at his smile only sent a shiver down her spine. “Can I leave immediately after I finish this meal?” she asked. His
gaze flickered slightly. “Are you in a hurry to leave?”
She lied, saying, “I need to get some sleep early. In reality, she did not want to spend that much time with him face-to-face. The
more time they spent together, the more she realized how different Jon and Jonathan were from one another.
Despite the fact that she was aware that Jon was a made-up person, an illusion created by Jonathan, she would unintentionally
long for the Jon she had once known, who did not exist at all.
Nonetheless, she still found herself thinking about him.
“You’re afraid of me,” he stated, his gaze fixed on her. It wasn’t a question, but a statement of fact.
Her body tensed, and she pressed her lips tightly.
“Why? Is it because I am Jonathan Are you still yearning for Jon?” he inquired, seeing right through her.
