The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 975
What Callum didn’t expect was that when he drove back to the White family’s manor in the evening, he saw Lillian who was
stopped by the security guards outside.
He didn’t expect that she would come here.
At this moment, Lillian also saw Callum’s car and wanted to stop him. But the security guard stopped her, and she couldn’t get
close.
Another security guard quickly ran to Callum’s car and said after the car window had been rolled down. “Mr. White, the lady there
said she is your friend and wants to see you.”
“I don’t have such a friend. Ask her to leave!” As Callum finished his words, the car window was closed again.
Callum’s car pulled into the White family’s manor. Meanwhile, the security guard said to Lillian, “Mr. White mentioned he had no
friend like you. I suggest you return now. Stop indulging in wishful thinking!”
Obviously, the security guards regarded Lillian as a woman who wanted to take her chance to meet Callum and gain access to
prominent families.
Lillian was embarrassed, but she didn’t leave. Instead. she took out a small, foldable stool from her bag and then produced a
water bottle and a thermally insulated food container. The food inside the box had been prepared by Abigail.
Then, Lillian found a corner and began to eat.
Seeing this, the security guards couldn’t help but frown and wanted to drive her away. However, she was beyond the manor’s
confines. In other words, she was on a public road, an area of which they had no control.
After eating, Lillian carefully packed up her things and disposed of any waste into the nearby trash can, leaving no room for
others to find fault with her.
It was the first time the security guards had witnessed someone having their dinner in that spot. They tried to persuade Lillian,
“Don’t linger herc. Even if you squat here all the way until tomorrow morning, Mr. White won’t spare you a glance. If one can
meet Mr. White by squatting like this, a crowd will show up with benches in tow.”
Hearing this, Lillian replied seriously, “I will leave after 9 o’clock.”

The security guards were dumbfounded. They had initially assumed Lillian intended to stay for an extended period and perform a
pitiful act after witnessing her setting up a stool. They didn’t anticipate that she would depart at 9 o’clock.
“Are you leaving at 9 o’clock?”
“Well, I have to go back to sleep. Staying up too late isn’t good for my health.” Lillian said. After all, she had to care for the baby
growing inside her. Therefore, she needed to make a conscious effort to eat well and get enough sleep to ensure the baby’s
optimal development.
Unbeknownst to Lillian at that moment, inside the White family’s manor, Callum was watching her in the security room. His face
remained expressionless as he watched the surveillance footage, his deep black eyes solemn.
As time passed, Callum simply sat/in his chair, his gaze fixated on Lillian through the surveillance
camera.
Other people in the room didn’t dare to say anything at this moment. Callum appeared to radiate an intense aura that
discouraged anyone from approaching or inquiring about his thoughts.
At 9 o’clock, Lillian suddenly stood up and put away the stool she was sitting on. Then... Callum’s eyes suddenly narrowed. “Is
she going to leave? Is her determination limited to merely nine o’clock?” he thought.
Callum felt a mixture of disappointment and frustration that he couldn’t explain. He continued to fix his gaze on the screen. After
some time, he abruptly rose from his chair and instructed the individuals around him, “Bring this woman in!”

“What?” The subordinate was stunned as he thought, “Is Mr. White going to meet this woman?”
Lillian had finished packing and was just about to call a taxi to pick her up using her phone when the security guard by the gate
halted her.
“Mr. White would like to meet with you, miss. You may go in now.” The security guard’s tone and demeanor were notably more
respectful than before.

Lillian was slightly stunned, and then a flicker of joyful surprise crossed her face. Callum wanted to see her. Finally, she would
have the opportunity to speak with him and seek his forgiveness.
It was just that she wasn’t sure whether he would forgive her.
The image of Callum standing at the entrance of White Maple Group crossed her mind once more. She shook her head,
reminding herself not to overthink it. What truly mattered now was that she had the chance to see him.
Lillian entered the White family’s manor and was led to the living room by one of the housekeepers. The vast living room was
grand and magnificent, yet it somehow emanated a chilling atmosphere. At this moment, Callum stood in the middle of the living
room. His handsome face was cold. “You all go out first. No one is allowed to come in without my permission,” Callum said
coldly. The housekeepers who were originally in the living room of the manor all left.
Suddenly, only Lillian and Callum were left in the huge living room.
Lillian gazed at Callum greedily. She hadn’t even had the opportunity to look at him clearly when he was outside the White Maple
Group.
“Why? Am I this good-looking that you can’t move your eyes away from me?” Callum’s voice broke the silence at this moment.
“You’re so good-looking.” Lillian couldn’t help blurting out.
Callum frowned suddenly. “Lillian, I invited you to come in not to hear your nonsense. Didn’t you say you have something to tell
me? Share it now. I’m listening!”
As he spoke, he strolled over to a nearby couch, seated himself with grace, and folded his legs elegantly. His gaze fixed on her
made her feel like she was facing the chief judge in a courtroom.
Lillian’s mind went blank for a moment.
“If you have nothing to say, then leave immediately. Do not appear in front of me from this point forward!” Callum stated firmly. As
long as she didn’t appear before him, she wouldn’t disturb his peace of mind.
Lillian almost involuntarily blurted out, “Callum, I love you. I truly love you!” She didn’t want to leave. She had so much to say.
“You claim to love me?” He sneered, his gaze turning colder as he fixed it on her. “Lillian, why do you have the nerve to say
these words? If you truly loved me, you wouldn’t have mentioned cutting all ties with me or even considered terminating the

pregnancy when I begged you to stay. Lillian, if you love me, how could you not give me any chance at all?”!”
His relentless questioning caused her heart to ache. “I...I truly love you. I... I understand that I’ve been selfish. I just wanted to
shield myself from getting hurt, but Callum, for all these years, the only person I’ve ever loved has always been you! It’s my fault
for misunderstanding you!”
