"It's no big deal," Stella said pretentiously.
A domino effect began to take root. The surrounding staff started to praise Stella one after another. Stella was like the brightest star in the crowd, constantly receiving praise from those around her. As for Melody, it seemed like her only function was to serve as a contrast to Stella.
"Melody, let me see the script," Stella said, reaching out to take the script from Melody's hands.
Melody hesitated for a moment, then placed the script down, avoiding her hand. Stella scoffed in her heart, feeling that Melody was unappreciative. However, she maintained a pleasant smile on her face and said, "Melody, are you not allowed to give the script to others to see? No problem. You can read it out to me, then!"
"Thank you, Miss Stella, for being willing to explain the film to me. However, I'd like to ponder over it myself a bit more, to see if I can bring out my own style in the performance," Melody politely expressed her gratitude and declined Stella's offer.
Melody's refusal caused Stella's expression to darken slightly, but she did not need to say anything. After all, the people around her said everything that needed to be said.
"You still want to do it on your own? It's already been the whole morning, and not a single scene has been shot well."
"A big celebrity is willing to explain the script to her, and she still refuses. How arrogant can she be?"
Melody felt the words stabbing into her as she stood still. Needless to say, she was embarrassed and uncomfortable.
Just when she felt utterly ashamed-wishing she could find a hole to crawl into Jelena appeared in front of her, saying, "Melody, Mister Shaun is looking for you."
Jelena brought Melody into Shaun's dressing room.
Shaun let out a resigned sigh when he saw Melody.
"I heard about what happened outside just now."
"Sorry, Mister Shaun." Melody had not handled things well and could only bow in apology.
Shaun asked her to sit and spoke with a weighty tone, "Don't worry about it. There are inevitably issues when filming for the first time. Even those who come from a professional background make mistakes, let alone a newcomer like you."
She understood that Shaun meant to comfort her, but she found herself unable to feel better. She felt really guilty for taking up everyone's time.

Seeing her in this state, Shaun spoke again, "Stella's first film was directed by me. Don't be fooled by how m OK nonchalantly she talks about it now. She had just as many retakes in her first film as you did." Melody blinked at this, and she looked up at Shaun. "Mister Shaun, you don't have to lie to me just to comfort me."
