"What are you saying?"
Not only was Shaun shocked by her words, but even the producer dropped the cigarette from his hand.
"What?"
Tracy did not think there was anything wrong with her logic. "Think about it. Who insisted on not using a stunt double? Didn't you, Mister Shaun, try to talk her into using a stunt double before the shoot? Didn't the safety personnel advise her as well? Miss Melody might say it's for the sake of the movie effect, but we all know she did it out of her own ego.
"Although it's heartbreaking that Miss Melody had such an accident, it was her choice to dedicate herself to art. None of us should be responsible for someone else's choices, right?
"If Miss Melody had listened to Mister Shaun's advice in the first place, she'd still be here with us instead of lying in the hospital. Shaun did not even have to say anything yet for Monica-who could not stand it anymore-scoffed and said, "According to what you're saying, we shouldn't take responsibility if anything happens to any of the cast or crew members in the future?
"Meaning to say, we shouldn't claim compensation from the production company if any of us gets into an accident? How can our safety be guaranteed if we don't look out for each other?"
Monica's words snapped the other crew members out of their daze. They only echoed Tracy's words because Melody's accident did not involve them directly.
In fact, all they needed to do was to think about what it would be like if they were in Melody's situation and someone came along to tell them the crew had nothing to do with it.
