The Day I Kissed An Older Man

'I remembered I was at the desk, so how did I end up on the sofa?' wondered Lucas.
Before he left for work the morning before, he recalled Beatrice asking to speak to him after he got home. He was not sure what had happened last night, but Lucas had a vague feeling that something was off. [Mister Lucas, Melody is being scolded by Mister Shaun right now. Hurry up and come to the rescue!] Monica even took a photo of Melody; she looked much thinner.
Lucas' heart tightened immediately. 'Didn't she say she can take care of herself? How did she become so thin in just a few days?'
Melody's hair was tousled by the wind, her face pale with no hint of color, and there were even two dark circles under her eyes!
He quickly grabbed his coat and prepared to head out.
Edmund was holding a document, ready to knock on the door, when Lucas opened it. Before he could say anything, Lucas hastily left, seeming like something urgent had come up. "That's strange... There wasn't anything important today for him to rush out like that."
Back when Melody insisted on moving into the dormitory, Lucas had obtained Monica's contact information. Lucas could not help but worry no matter how much Melody insisted she could handle things on her
own.
Monica did not often message him, just sending him a photo of Melody's dormitory and her dining with Melody in the cafeteria on the first day she moved in. Otherwise, she remained distanced. Melody was completely unaware of all this.
Lucas was not close to Monica, but if he were, he would ask her to take more photos. It was not acceptable to receive no photos for several days!
"Is it because you're not used to living in the dormitory? Why are your dark circles so heavy?"
Shaun did not plan to scold Melody as Monica had thought. After all, she was Lucas' wife, and he was the biggest investor in their production.
It would not do Shaun any good if he crossed Melody. He was just worried that the dormitory conditions were bad. If Melody was not comfortable there, it could spell trouble for their production. Although Lucas did not say it out loud, it was clear he held Melody in high regard.
Even though Shaun did not understand why Lucas would let Melody live in the dormitory when he obviously cared about her so much, he did not think he should meddle in the matter. After all, what did a nobody like him know about the games wealthy people liked to play?
"Thanks for your concern, Mister Shaun. The dormitory is fine. I might just be having trouble adjusting to the bed, so I didn't sleep well. I'm sorry, it's all on me for not getting into the right frame of mind for today's shooting."

"I'm just glad to hear that the dormitory isn't the problem. Get the makeup artist to cover up your dark C
circles later. Also your eyes are too bloodshot. They're perfect for after the crying scene, but we can't have you looking like this before the scene. Good thing you have good looks. Otherwise, I don't think it'd have
worked out for anyone else. Go now." Visit bignovels.com to read the latest chapter of this novel
