The Day I Kissed An Older Man

"Is she planning to wait here in the ward until the sun sets?" Melody mumbled to herself with a puzzled tone, lowering her head as she washed her hands. When the sound of someone entering the restroom reached her ears, she looked up, only to freeze in place by the person before her. "What are you doing here?" Wendy's smile was laced with malice. "You're asking that as if you own this hospital. There aren't any restrictions on who can enter or exit this place, is there?" Melody's frown deepened at the sight of her 'sister', and her mood soured instantly. She shut off the faucet and planned on leaving, but Wendy reached out to stop her.
"Is this how you treat your sister? Not even a polite greeting?" Wendy taunted. "I bet your fans will be so utterly disappointed if they see this side of you."
Melody shot her a cold glance. "Who are you calling your sister? Sorry, but I don't have any family, much less a sister. My fans know this. They don't even know who you are."
"Still as stubborn as ever. You'd never face me so confidently if it weren't for Lucas. The only difference that separates us is having a backer. Hopefully that'll be enough for you to stick around in this industry until the very end."
Melody paused briefly and took a deep breath. She had always been steadfast despite the public perceiving her to rely on the Riveras since she had been with Lucas, For that reason, Wendy had no right to judge her.
Finding it pointless to engage Wendy any further, Melody walked past her to exit the restroom. Alas, Wendy wrapped an arm around Melody from behind, muffling her cry as a cloth soaked in chemicals covered her mouth and nose.
"Mmgh!" After a brief struggle, she succumbed to unconsciousness.
Wendy glanced at the knocked-out Melody and admired her adversary's tenacity in the face of manipulation.
"Bet you never expected this day to come huh, Melody?" Wendy murmured. "Just wait. When you wake up, your life will become a living hell. You'll finally understand the pain I went through." After placing Melody on a hospital bed and donning a nurse's uniform, Wendy messaged Thalia. [Mission accomplished.]
Thalia finally breathed a sigh of relief after receiving the confirmation. She was worried that Wendy might mess up when dealing with Melody alone, but Wendy's hatred had proved strong enough to forge ahead with the plan without any hitches.
Thalia then deleted the message and placed her phone away, waiting for the right moment to enact her next move in front of Lucas.
