She closed her eyes contentedly and asked, "Did that incident at the meeting startle you?"
"I wouldn't say I was startled. I knew she wasn't a genuine fan from the moment she spoke. People like that will come your way often," Lucas replied.
Melody understood what he meant.
"Even so, everything went smoothly, didn't it? Look at how happy my fans are. It's incredible to bring happiness to so many people, even if it's only for an hour or two."
Lucas turned and rested his chin on top of her head, nodding.
