The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

As they left the prison, Ryan kept Carrie in his embrace the whole time. The man's warm breath surrounded her, but Carrie still
trembled slightly against his chest.
"Honey, you..." Ryan pursed his lips, suddenly at a loss for words.
What should he say to comfort her?
"We'll come next time" and "my condolences" would not do.
"Ryan." Carrie hung her head low, her eyes still swollen, with tears on her eyelashes. "Thank you... Thank you for letting me see
her one last time. It's enough, really... I won't ask anything more from you in the future."
"Honey! What are you saying?!"
Ryan immediately panicked, quickly kneeling before her on one knee and grabbing her cold hands. He looked into her moist
eyes with an anxious gaze. "What do you mean you won't ask anything more?! Then what do you need me for? What motivation
do I have to fight for power? What will I have to look forward to?!"
"Ryan..." Carrie took a small step back.
"From now on, whatever you want or wish to do, just say the word. No matter what you ask for, I will satisfy you."
Thinking of how Carrie lost her composure in front of him that day, Ryan felt a surge of pain in his heart, and his throat turned
dry. "Carrie... You are the one I love most. I want to give you the whole world. It was my fault that day. I shouldn't strip you of your
right to see your mother one last time. It will never happen again, I swear."
Carrie suddenly threw herself at Ryan, tears welling up, her thin arms wrapping around the man's neck as she hugged him
tightly.
"I don't have a mother anymore..."
"Don't be afraid. You have your husband, a brother and sister-in-law who loves you, and Grandpa."
Ryan patted Carrie's back, saying, "Don't cry, babe. Take my hand, and I will make you the happiest woman in the world."
He had enough courage and patience to love her.

He was only afraid that he would not do well enough. He was afraid of making her angry and pushing her heart further away from
him.
Yasmin stood beside the car, watching this heartwarming scene from a distance as she smiled in relief.
Her boss finally had a home. She hoped he would hold his wife's hand forever.
Yasmin drove the luxury car steadily through the bustling streets in Savrow.
"Honey, why don't we go on a trip? Do you want to go to Inalia for an art exhibition, see the Northern Lights, or visit Regarton's
famous square to feed some pigeons?" Ryan took Carrie's hand, planting a warm kiss on the back of it.
Yasmin looked at the rearview mirror and reminded him in a low voice. "Mr. Hoffman, the board meeting is scheduled to be held
soon, and it's related to your official appointment. You need to get prepared..." "Nothing can stop me from accompanying my
wife."
Ryan's eyes narrowed, and he grabbed Carrie's thin waist. "Besides, what is there to prepare? Apart from me, there's only my
uncle. If Grandfather isn't senile, he should know that the Hoffman Group would have no future if he gave it my uncle. The
Hoffman Group can only be mine."
"You are right."
Yasmin agreed, but she could not help worrying "However, it's always good to be cautious. Liam always loves attention, yet he
has been quiet since he lost the fight for the racecourse hotel. I'm a little worried about it. There's something suspicious about
this, so it's better to be on guard."
Ryan was unwilling to talk about such cunning schemes in front of his soft-hearted Carrie, so he curled his lips gently and asked
with a hoarse voice, "Honey, have you thought of where to go?" Carrie was feeling very down and uninterested in everything.
However, she knew that Ryan would be upset if she was unhappy. She forced herself to cheer up and said softly, "I... I want to
visit the Savrow Art Academy."
She genuinely loved everything about art and understood the implication of Yasmin's words, aware that Ryan would be busy for
the upcoming period. It was best that he did not leave Savrow for now.

"What a coincidence!" Ryan's eyes curved with a bright smile. "I've been inquiring about the Savrow Art Academy, asking if I
could arrange for you to listen in on their classes. I could even hire professional tutors and rent a classroom for you. If you like,
you could stay there from morning to night."
Carrie was overwhelmed with gratitude, and she rubbed her nose against his chest.
Ryan placed his palm on the back of her head, his breath growing heavier, feeling as if his heart was about to melt.
"Yasmin. From now on, assign someone to keep an eye on Bethany Salvador." Ryan's expression turned cold.
"I've always been monitoring Bethany's movements, but she's probably afraid of humiliating herself, never taking a step out of
Tideview Manor since the trial." Yasmin understood him perfectly. "Why are you doing this?" Carrie was confused.
"Have you forgotten what your mother's final words were?"
Ryan frowned slightly, feeling uneasy when he thought of Shannon's last words. "I believe that a person's dying words are
sincere. There must be a reason that she asked you to be careful of your sister."
