Immediately, Bella felt the man's large hand holding up her delicate waist, suddenly pulling her in. She was then pressed tightly
against his warm chest.
"Hmm..."
Bella's body went soft, her breath hitched, and Justin's lips abruptly covered hers. His eyes, looking at her, were filled with
longing and distress as he kissed her passionately in front of Nigel, without a care for anyone else.
Wow!
Nigel and Matt raised their brows with joy, their hearts thumping wildly in their chests.
Nigel had always thought of his grandson as a block of wood, lacking in social skills, and a bore. Before Justin reached
adulthood, Nigel had considered taking him to a psychiatrist more than once, but he was afraid of hurting Justin's pride.
It seemed that Bella had transformed Justin into a starving wolf.
"Don't... Grandpa Nigel is still here." Bella pushed him embarrassingly, her face blushing.
"Grandpa is not an outsider."
Justin held her waist tightly, blurting out, "Besides, why should I sneak around when I want to love my wife?"
Bella pursed her rosy lips shyly, her heartstrings strummed by his sweet words.
Once, he would only dare to probe cautiously, and every time he wanted to say the word "wife", he seemed too embarrassed.
However, he did not know that as long as he bravely took that one step towards her, their two hearts would have collided.
"Ahem... Matt! Did we forget to feed the birds in the backyard? Let's go feed the birds!" Nigel chuckled, joy evident on his face.
"Yes, Old Master Nigel!" Matt beamed with a wide smile.
Their lips, almost swollen, finally parted, and Bella's makeup was smudged.
Justin's fingers gently rubbed away the redness from her lips, saying hoarsely, "Bella, thank you. No matter in the past or now... I
was lucky to have you."
"Do you know why Grandpa Nigel likes to set off fireworks?" Bella lowered her head shyly, adjusting his tie like a dutiful wife.
"Tell me."
"Because Grandma likes it."
Bella sighed. "When she was young, she loved fireworks, but Grandpa Nigel, being the dense man he was, bought a bunch of
firecrackers to set them off in the yard. Grandma was so mad that she nicknamed him Nigel Firecracker."
Justin could not help but laugh. "It's a fine name that suits Grandpa's character."
"Grandma is timid. Grandpa Nigel would light the firecrackers and then run to her every time, and she'd jump into his arms. He
would cover her ears too. Grandpa Nigel always told me that those times were as beautiful as a dream. He could never forget a
single moment with Grandma. No amount of money or power could replace how much he missed her."
Bella narrated softly, helpless. "That's why I did all these for Grandpa Nigel. After all, to an infatuated man who lived in
memories, I could only do this much."
Justin listened to her quietly, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Hey... For real? It's too easy to break through your defenses now!"
Bella hurriedly pulled out his tie to wipe the tears from the corners of his eyes. "Do you have to get emotional about something
totally unrelated to you? Are your eyes a spring?"
Justin felt extremely ashamed. How could it not matter to him?
