The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Nigel's words really packed a punch. The one and only person who could talk some sense into Gregory was his own father.
Bethany huddled behind Gregory like a frightened bird, too terrified to even look up.
Bella quickly went over to Carrie and whispered, "Carrie, don't be afraid... I'm here with Justin and Grandpa Nigel." Carrie looked
up from Ryan's embrace, her usually radiant face now puffy from crying. Ryan's chest was wet with her tears.
"Annie..."
Upon hearing that name, Bella's eyes filled with tears instantly, and her heart felt unbearable pain.
Carrie choked back her tears, clutching tightly to Ryan's clothes. She softly said, "I don't want to be separated from Ryan."
At that moment, Ryan felt like his heart was being crushed. He held her tighter as if he would never let her go. "We won't be
separated, Carrie. No matter what happens, I will never leave you."
Bella was momentarily stunned, her heart was filled with pain. This moment reminded her of the time when Wyatt kept her
locked at home, and she had to jump out of the window on a stormy night like a crazy person to find Justin.
She held onto Justin tightly, telling him that she never wanted to be away from him.
But she was far luckier than Carrie. Wyatt was stubborn, but in the end, he softened out of love for his daughter and
compromised.
Gregory was different. He was selfish and merciless. Would he even think about Carrie? He only cared about himself, and the
family's image always came before everything else, even at the expense of close relationships.
"I'm not going to bother talking to you because you never really get what I'm saying! Today, I'm here to back up these young
lovebirds!"
Nigel gave Gregory a cold stare. "So, you said you'd never agree to this marriage even if you were to die, right? Then just go
ahead and die."
"Dad! What... What are you saying?!"
..

Gregory was so enraged that steam seemed to be coming out of his head. His eyes were bloodshot with anger and his words
even sounded a bit ridiculous. "Fine... Why should I die then?"
Nigel said, "What's the matter? You're a grown man, why are thoughts of dying even crossing your mind? And you're the
respected chairman of the Salvador Corporation. I worked so hard to retire, and now you want to die?
"Since you don't want to die, stop threatening the younger generation like that! Ryan still respects you because of Carrie and
Justin, but it seems like you think that you're irreplaceable. You're even using your own life as leverage to threaten them. It's
making me feel embarrassed!"
Gregory's head spun. His hand tightly held onto the stair railing as his veins throbbed and he clenched his teeth tightly.
Over the years, Nigel had insulted Gregory harshly in private, yet it never really bothered him. But this time, Gregory's children,
Bella, and Ryan, were also present.
What Nigel did not only embarrassed him but also shattered his remaining dignity.
Bethany suddenly came to a realization. 'How did Grandpa know everything about their conversation with Ryan earlier? Didn't he
just arrive?'
The truth was, Nigel had already arrived half an hour ago. His car had quietly pulled up outside Tideview Manor.
Inside the car, Justin sat across from Bella and Nigel as he watched her confidently display her talents in front of Nigel. Bella's
eyes gleamed as she hacked into the server for the surveillance camera in the living room.
"Grandpa Nigel, it's settled," Bella said as she held out the laptop to Nigel.
"Settled?" Nigel looked at her in disbelief.
