The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Steven solemnly nodded and pulled out a stack of documents from his briefcase, handing them out to the board members one
by one.
"A confidentiality agreement?!" The group was surprised, feeling somewhat embarrassed. They could not help but question, “Ms.
Thompson, what do you mean by this? We've all been your father's partners for many years, and we have accompanied him
through thick and thin. Do you really distrust us like this? Are you looking down on us?"
Bella's gaze remained steady and composed. She calmly replied, "Gentlemen, you're overreacting. My intention is solely to
protect my father, the KS Group, and the board of directors to the fullest extent. It has nothing to do with respect or disrespect.
The confidentiality agreement is merely a safeguard. It restrains those with ulterior motives. You're not just my father's business
partners. You all are his friends as well. I trust that none of you would do anything to tarnish my father's reputation. This
agreement is just to ensure nothing goes wrong. Otherwise, we wouldn't need to sign any contracts when discussing business,
would we?"
Bella's opinion was taken into consideration. There was no reason for anyone not to sign. Otherwise, wouldn't they fit her
definition of "those with ulterior motives"?
Soon, all the confidentiality agreements were signed. Steven's eyebrows furrowed as he leaned down to whisper in Bella's ear,
"Ms. Bella, Cameron is not here."
"I know. Don't worry. We'll deal with that later," Bella replied, her eyes darkening.
With all the agreements collected, the directors had already lost their patience. They did not even bother to greet Bella before
heading for the door.
"Now that all the directors have signed, I must remind you," Bella said, turning her chair to face away from them, her voice icy.
"KS Group has very strict rules and regulations. The most important one is that, as board members, none of you can harm KS
Group's interests. Any violation of these rules will result in immediate expulsion from the board, with no possibility of
reappointment. Do you all understand?"
A heavy silence fell over the board members, feeling as if a weight had settled on their chests. They had nothing to say and
hurriedly left.
The meeting room returned to silence.

In an instant, Bella felt as if all her strength had drained away. She covered her face with her hands, her slender waist bending
slowly.
She knew that Wyatt would be okay with Justin and Quentin by his side.
Bella wanted to rush to her father's side immediately, but this was the first time she had faced such a crisis. This was the biggest
challenge the Thompson family had ever encountered. She tried hard to control her emotions, but her heart was still pounding
uncontrollably.
"Don't be afraid, Ms. Bella." Steven kneeled beside her, his eyes red with emotion as he tried to comfort her. "We're all here.
Chairman Thompson will be fine, and KS Group will be fine too!" Taking a deep breath, Bella removed her hands from her face,
her complexion as pale as snow.
"Steve, thank you for coming so quickly."
"What are you saying?" Steven widened his clear eyes and gazed intently at her. "No matter what happens, I will always be loyal
to you!"
"I know, but I still feel very sorry. I apologize to you and Amelia." Bella's voice choked with bitterness. "But don't worry, I will find a
suitable replacement for the secretary position as soon as possible, so I won't trouble you for too long."
"No, Ms. Bella. I'm willing to be your secretary." Steven couldn't bear to hear such words and shook his head repeatedly. "I don't
care about high-ranking positions or wealth. just hope to help you through difficulties and ensure your peace of mind. If you still
trust me and don't mind that I'm not as capable as before, then please... Hire me again as your secretary."
Bella choked up again, unable to express her gratitude.

On their way to the chairman's office, Steven asked again, "Ms. Bella, isn't there a potential risk in excluding Cameron this time?
He's known for being unreliable and outspoken, and he hasn't even signed the confidentiality agreement. He'll likely cause
trouble behind the scenes."
"I know."
