Wendy chuckled and said, "Mom, you're absolutely right!"
Her thick eyebrows frowned as she continued, "But I really don't understand why we didn't hire a more well-known designer for
my engagement dress. It's not like our family can't afford it, so why do we have to rely on that little bitch? It's just so unfortunate."
"Look, my dear daughter, you just don't get it."
Regina hooked her arm through her daughter's, speaking sincerely, "Your father built up this family wealth because he knows
when to be frugal and when to spend. Having Roza make your dress is smart. She's skilled, so why not use her talents?
"Besides, letting Roza design your wedding dress is your father's way of testing her loyalty and reminding her of her place in the
Walker family. Despite sharing the Walker family name, Roza will always be beneath you. It's her destiny to be your lifelong
counterpart."
The mother and daughter, satisfied with their plans, entered through the front door.
"Excuse me, ladies. Do you have an appointment?" The assistant immediately stepped forward to stop them.
"Appointment? What appointment? Does a small shop like yours need to be so high-end?" Wendy scoffed, rolling her eyes.
The assistant frowned, her demeanor turning frosty. "I'm afraid Ms. Roza will not see you without an appointment. Even the
CEO's wife of Iverson Group was just turned away for not having one." 'Iverson Group?!'
The mother and daughter exchanged shocked glances. Could it be true that someone from Iverson Group would come to this
brat's shop to have their clothes custom-made?
Though the Walker family had some wealth, they were nothing compared to one of the four great families, the Iverson family.
"Well, we happen to be Roza's relatives. Could you please let her know we're here to see her? I'm sure she'll come down to
greet us," Regina said, finally disclosing their identity, as they couldn't even get a meeting.
The assistant replied, "Ha, well, in that case, I definitely can't let you in."
The assistant looked them over coldly. "I've been with Ms. Roza for a long time. I'm well aware of her circumstances. Ms. Roza
has always said she only has one mother, with all other relatives being essentially dead to her."
Regina's expression darkened with rage.
"Dead... All dead?! That little bitch dares to say that?!" Wendy, unable to hold back, blurted out her insulting words about Roza.
A chilling presence suddenly approached them from behind, accompanied by the sound of icy, commanding footsteps. The
Walker mother and daughter quickly turned around and saw a strikingly handsome man in a sharp black turned uniform, his eyes
piercing and cold, striding toward them.
Wendy couldn't help but stare at him, mesmerized by his striking good looks, Her heart raced as if she were having a heart
attack! He was so undeniably handsome that she felt like she might even want to cry out
Wendy had always found her fiancé attractive and enjoyed showing off his photos, but he paled in comparison to this man.
Comparison was indeed the thief of all joy.
"Excuse me, who are you?" The assistant asked in confusion.
Axel's cold stare swept over Wendy's face after her arrogant outburst.
Regina shivered and instinctively pulled her daughter closer.
After a brief pause, Axel's gaze softened, and he offered the assistant a slight smile. "I had placed an order for two suits with Ms.
Roza. She mentioned they're ready for me to collect." He then turned around and calmly approached a nearby sofa, taking a
seat with his legs crossed, observing the two women with a touch of amusement.
"There's no rush. You can finish dealing with them first."
