The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

The special privilege for the rich and powerful would never happen in Ralph's station.
"I understand your pain, sir."
Carrie opened her swollen eyes and spoke determinedly, a stark contrast to the panic she felt before. "I once went through what
your daughter did too." Brian was taken aback.
"What did you say?"
"Please believe me. I will help your daughter through this. I will avenge her." The fear gripped Carrie, leaving her breathless
between words.
"You're just a weak little girl. What can you do?"
"I am the heiress of Salvador Corporation. You can ask anyone."
Carrie's face was covered in sweat. "My brother is Justin Salvador, the president of Salvador Corporation. His wife is Bella
Thompson, the heiress of KS Group. They can help your daughter find justice." Ralph saw the fragile girl in a new light.
Other women would be scared stiff, but Carrie hung in there and tried to talk her way to safety.
"The heiress of the KS Group is your sister-in-law?"
Brian did not think the girl would lie to him. Since smartphones had become a necessity, Brian was quick to Google Carrie.
Carrie managed to persuade him.
Bella, the righteous and wealthy heiress, sought justice for ordinary girls like Linny and Rachel, even at the cost of making
enemies out of the Salvadors and Iversons. Her heroic act was the talk of the town. If only Bella could help his poor daughter.
However, Bella was the daughter of the richest man in Hatchbay. Even if she was kind, she would not help every person in need.
She had no duty to him.
"Will Ms. Thompson help my daughter?"
"She will." Emotions washed over Carrie. Though she gradually regained composure, her tears kept streaming down her face. "I
was once a survivor of abuse too."

Ralph could not believe his ears.
"But I chose to endure and flee. My bullies have not been punished. To help myself get over it, I hope to help your daughter. So,
please, sir. Don't make more mistakes. If you die here, you won't be able to see justice served."
Brian finally gave in to Carrie's persuasion.
He loosened his grip on the woman's arm and pulled the blade away from her neck.
"Ralph!"
Carrie ran to Ralph in tears.
"Don't be scared, Carrie." Ralph spread his arms apart to hold her.
Just then, the sniper on the roof of the opposite building adjusted the rifle scope, and the change in sunlight bounced a
penetrating light off the man's face.
Feeling tricked, Brian blew up.
Brian raised his blade to slice Carrie, who was defenseless.
"Bastards! You teamed up to lie to me. Go to hell!"
