The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Just then, someone knocked on the door.
A well-matched couple stepped in. It was Asher and Arnold.
"Dad."
"Chairman Thompson, how are you feeling today?" Arnold asked gently, standing beside the man he loved.
Wyatt glanced at his son before turning his kind gaze to Arnold's clean, handsome face, teasing, "Why so formal all of a sudden?
Why aren't you calling me Dad today?" Bella and Justin looked surprised.
The fair-skinned Arnold blushed deeply at the remark. He lowered his long eyelashes as he became flustered.
Seeing how shy Arnold became, Asher felt a warmth in his heart. He took Arnold's sweaty hand and intertwined their fingers
tightly.
"Dad, Arnold is quite shy. Please don't tease him like that."
Bella's beautiful eyes curved into crescents as she watched the couple, a wide smile spreading across her face. 'Ah, love
certainly changes people. The once aloof Asher is now adept at protecting his beloved. Wyatt gave them a meaningful look.
Then, his gaze eventually settled on their clasped hands. Suddenly, his brows furrowed.
"Ash, what happened to your fingernails? Why are they so dark?"
Asher was momentarily stunned. He looked down and then smiled warmly. "Arnold loves nuts. Last night, I went out to buy some
roasted chestnuts and spent all night peeling them for him. It's probably from the chestnut shells."
Arnold's heart was pounding, his blush deepening adorably.
He was extremely nervous. Given Asher's esteemed status, it was unimaginable that his hands, once used to sign important
documents and grand plans, were now used as tools to peel chestnuts. What kind of parent would be happy with that?
However, instead of being angry, Wyatt said casually, "Ah, that's fine then. I thought you had nail fungus. I was worried you might
pass it on to Arnold. How would he treat patients then?" Arnold was speechless.
Bella and Justin were also at a loss for words.

Asher's fingers curled around Arnold's hand. He then spoke with a mix of amusement and frustration in his tone, "Dad, can't you
think of me nicely for once?"
But everyone could see it clearly.
Wyatt had truly accepted Arnold.
After some warm and lighthearted conversation, Wyatt finished his meal with Bella's coaxing.
"Dad, we need to start preparing. We'll be heading to Meridan in a couple of days."
Asher exchanged a deep look with Arnold. "I've contacted the best rehabilitation center there and had everything arranged for
you already. Arnold has also found two of the most authoritative neurology experts in Meridan for you. They'll consult you as
soon as you arrive."
"Thanks, kids. That's very thoughtful of you guys," Wyatt said, his eyes filled with gratitude but also a hint of reluctance.
Bella gently furrowed her brows. "Wyatt, why do you look so down? Are you still clinging to your empire? Your health is far more
important than making money."
"It's not that I can't let go of my empire. I just can't let go of you kids, especially you. You little rascal."
Wyatt sighed, his nose tingling with emotion. He then gently poked Bella on the forehead. "I don't know how long this treatment
will take, and I've just started enjoying having you all around. How can I bear to leave?"
Bella's heart filled with bitterness as tears welled up in her almond-shaped eyes.
Justin noticed, silently moving behind her and gently stroking her thin back with his warm hand.
He knew she was also reluctant to part with her father. Though she was tough and disliked being sentimental, he understood
how deeply she loved her father.
"Dad, I've handed over all the KS Group's affairs to Bella in the past few days. She'll officially take over by the end of the month
at the latest Asher said, his gaze heavy with deep expectations as he looked at his younger sister.
Wyatt nodded thoughtfully, then held his daughter's hand and gave it a squeeze. "Darling, are you sure you can handle it?"
