Chapter 3466
“Harvey! Harvey!”
“That b*stard again!”
After hearing Mrs. Lee’s call for help, Joseph knew full well that if he didn’t protect her, he wouldn’t just lose hist reputation...
But many would also turn to Harvey’s side after realizing that Joseph feared Harvey!
That said, Joseph was at a total disadvantage after what had happened at Flutwell’s new district.
He still had some troublesome things he was desperately trying to fix.
If he kept challenging Harvey, no doubt he would have an all–out war waiting for him.
And if that were to happen, Joseph firmly believed that his two brothers would definitely take the opportunity to crush him once
and for all.
Everything he fought for would be for naught.
Because of this, Joseph had no other choice but to let Mrs. Lee fend for herself.
“I’ll kill you as soon as I rise to power, Harvey!”
It was Joseph’s first time feeling so powerless.
Other than screaming in anger, there was nothing else he could do.
“You taught us to have the patience to do great things, Young Master Bauer,” Ruby said after a brief moment of hesitation.
Joseph calmed down quite a bit after hearing her words.
“You’re right. I need to calm myself. If not, others will find an opportunity to strike me.”
Just as Joseph was about to come to his senses and lay out his plans, a servant entered the room with a gift box.
“Someone sent you a gift, saying that you have to open it yourself.”

Joseph was confused. There wasn’t any ongoing event for him at the moment. Why would anyone send him something like this?
Without thinking too much about it, he opened the box.
A carefully -framed calligraphy art could be seen inside.
Two rows of elegant–looking words were present.
“When there’s a will, there’s a way!”
“Hard work always pays off!”
Pfft!
Joseph’s body trembled; he was on the verge of coughing out blood there and then.
He was being ridiculed for recklessly burning his bridges!
Joseph’s face darkened in an instant. He gritted his teeth.
“Who gave the present?!”
The servant was terrified.
“It was an errand boy, saying that a person named Harvey sent it...”
“B*stard!”
“B*stard!”
“B*stard!”
Joseph was trembling in anger.
“I’ll f*cking kill you, Harvey!”
Ruby dared not utter a word.
After a moment, Joseph managed to calm down again.

He shivered as he took a huff of his long and thin cigar.
“That b*stard’s trying to force my hand.”
“I’m in my hometown, after all.”
“I suffered quite a big loss against him before. I fully admitted defeat as well.”
“It’d be inappropriate for him to continue suppressing me if I don’t come for him.”
“He’s trying to lure me out!”
“That b*stard! No wonder he’s able to get the upper hand against me!”
Joseph sighed.
“I hate that man, but I have to admit that his moves are a lot more terrifying compared to our well–laid plans!”
“Simplicity is everything, after all!”
