Chapter 3594
“Sure. I’ll have to show my respect if you say so.”
“It doesn’t matter if he’s planning to kill me or not. I’ll go either way.”
“Tell him I’ll be there on time.”
“I hope he’ll give me a nice surprise.”
Harvey’s words had a different meaning, but Elanor didn’t understand him.
“I’ll make sure to tell him that,” she replied with an innocent look.
She calmly sat on the couch and crossed her slender legs, and gestured to Harvey to sit.
“Please. I’d say we’re friends now.”
“We had a bad start before. Consider this an apology.”
“Of course, I’ll do my best to satisfy you if you need anything else.”
“These are Young Master Bauer’s orders, of course.”
Elanor revealed a meaningful look when she said those words; she was ripe for the picking at that very moment.
Any man would never have the capacity to decline such an offer.
It was a shame. Elanor’s calm gaze shifted away before it turned to shock.
She saw that Harvey was still smiling, but his expression held neither ridicule nor menace.
Elanor couldn’t help but be impressed by Harvey.
After all, it was her first time seeing such a composed man.
Elanor quickly retracted the seductive look on her face before flashing him an apologetic smile.
“I’m sorry, Sir York. I was being rash.”

“Not at all. It’s my fault for being inconsiderate.”
Harvey smiled back.
“That said, I really do hope that we can be good friends.”
“After all, this is a more stable relationship in this day and age.”
“You’re inseparable from my alliance with Young Master Bauer, too.”
“I’ll remember that.”
“You really are extraordinary, Sir York...”
Elanor sighed.
“But you jest. I know I’m just a pawn...”
“Or rather, a cannon fodder.”
“My efforts wouldn’t affect you and Young Master Bauer’s collaboration in any way.”
“After all, it’s much better to make friends with you than to be enemies.”
“From another perspective, you’re the one who allowed me to show my worth and ability to Young Master Bauer so he can take a
liking toward me.”
“I should be thanking you instead.”
“Because of this, I think we shouldn’t be too formal about things.”
Elanor spoke in a quiet tone. Then, she pulled out a check from her Hermes bag and hesitantly set it in front of Harvey.
This was the money Harvey gave her before.
Naturally, Elanor was a smart woman; she knew all too well about Jeff.
She knew Jeff’s invitation was nothing good.

She made everything sound nice to the ear, and gave the check back to draw a line between her and Harvey.
In truth, she didn’t want to get involved in the situation.
Safe to say, she was a bright woman-so bright it could be considered surprising.
