Chapter 3877
Harvey York calmly smiled before he sized up Gael Padlow.
“What if I don’t like that?”
“You dare go against my goodwill?
Gael showed a playful gaze, as if playing a cat-and-mouse game with Harvey. He wanted Harvey to decline the offer from the
very beginning.
“Then I’m sorry, but I can’t just let you go for Ms. Cobb’s sake.
“My reputation would be completely ruined if I did.”
Nellie and the others were showing utter disdain after hearing those words.
“He’s still showing off in front of Young Master Padlow?”
“He’s literally standing in the face of death right now!’
‘You’re still not backing off after Young Master Padlow gave you an out?! Your sharp tongue will surely cost you!’
Gael waved his hand before a dozen people in robes walked up from behind.
Every single one of them was showing fierce looks on their faces when they unsheathed their swords.
Nellie, Rayne, and the others were playfully chuckling as they saw the sight.
Gael showed an arrogant expression, as if he was the king of the world.
“Break his legs. Make him kneel,” exclaimed Gael while coldly waving his hand around.
“If he resists, kill him immediately!”
Four disciples of the Martial Arts Alliance stepped forward before pointing the tips of their swords toward Harvey’s head.
Someone even brought out a baseball bat, ready to break Harvey’s legs.
Julian York’s gaze turned cold. He wanted to step up for Harvey at this moment...
But Harvey waved his hand. He and Julian were completely fine with fighting...
But it would be bad if Irene Johnson and Ellen Moreno were to be dragged into the fight.
He did not want to see something like this at all.
“I’m curious.
Harvey stepped forward while completely ignoring the swords pointed right at him.
“Are you trying to come at me for the Cobb family’s incident?
“Or are you taking me out because this is your turf?”
“Is there a difference?”
Gael showed a faint smile.
“Of course, if you did this out of jealousy, I’ll laugh at you for being naive.
“If you’re fighting for your turf, I’ll at least praise you for having some courage,” replied Harvey.
“Jealousy? Courage?
Gael merely chuckled.
“This means nothing to me.
Then, Gael waved his hand.
“Break his legs! Stop wasting time already!”
“Try it if you dare!”
Rapid footsteps could be heard before a pleasant yet distant voice echoed from behind.
A few disciples tried to block the path, but they were ruthlessly pushed aside.
The crowd had no choice but to make way. A slender and elegant-looking young woman could be seer walking out.
A few trusted subordinates were following beside her.
She was none other than the lady of the Cobb family, Katy Cobb herself.
Katy immediately looked at Harvey. She let out a sigh of relief after making sure that he was still in one piece.
Gael frowned.
“Why are you here, Katy?”
Nellie stood frozen.
“Ms. Cobb.”
“Ms. Cobb,” greeted the others in unison.
Katy completely ignored the others and walked toward Harvey with a cold expression.
“I heard that you’re planning to break my man’s legs...” said Katy as she glared at Gael.
“You’re still not kneeling?! Apologize already!
“Who even gave you the right!”
