Chapter 4094
Harvey was completely speechless.
“You need to believe me, Xynthia. I got both the car and the necklace accidentally.”
“Someone gave these to me as an apology.”
“You don’t have to explain, Harvey. I won’t get angry just because you got these for my sister.”
“It’s about to be you guys’ anniversary, after all.”
“It’s only natural to get her a big gift before getting remarried!”
Xynthia felt her head aching for no reason.
She took off the necklace before she unwillingly put it back inside the box and set it on the armrest.
Harvey froze.
“What are you doing?”
“What do you mean, what am I doing?”
Xynthia scoffed.
“Give this back to my sister! I’ll borrow my brother-in-law every once in a while, but I can’t just take my sister’s stuff!”
“I love this a lot, but I can’t hurt my sister like this...”
Xynthia hesitated.
She wished Harvey actually bought the necklace for her...
But she knew that she wasn’t the main character-she was just a girl hiding in someone else’s shadows.
Harvey didn’t know what to feel when he saw that.
“I won’t go back on my word. This is for you.”
“Your sister won’t mind, either.”
“I’ll just give her something else on our anniversary.”
Xynthia didn’t believe Harvey at all. She wanted to keep the necklace badly, but she still slammed the box shut and gritted her
teeth.
“I’ll keep this a secret since you helped me out with Westin!”
“Make sure to give my sister a big surprise!”
“Make her the happiest woman alive!”
Xynthia held her fist up, a threatening look on her face.
Westin walked to his Ferrari and kicked the headlights with a furious expression.
Meanwhile, the Porsche drove on the viaduct toward the villa area.
The car was filled with awkward yet flirty air.
Xynthia was buried deep in her own thoughts for a long time. Then, she looked longingly into Harvey’s eyes.
“Thank you, Harvey.”
“For what?”
Harvey smiled.
“For helping you out?”
“You don’t have to thank me. I’m your brother-in-law, anyway. I can’t just let some stranger take advantage of you like that.”
“If Westin does this again, I’ll make him cry for sure.
“It’s not that. Thank you for giving me such a good dream,” Xynthia whispered.
“You got this for my sister, didn’t you?”
“Not at all. I got this from an accident,” Harvey replied.
“An accident?”
Xynthia was doubtful.
“I just checked online. The Heart of Sky represents transparent and flawless love.”
“You wouldn’t give something like this to me...”
“My sister will strangle you to death!”
She truly wished that Harvey bought this for her...
Yet, she knew full well such a thing couldn’t happen.
No matter the case, Harvey was her brother-in-law.
The two had no chance to be together.
