Arlet Pagan already called Harvey York by the title...
But when Kairi Patel was just about to take him away, the Pagan family’s butler still respectfully gave him a fifteen million dollar
check.
After all, the Pagan family was doing antique business.
Without Wes Pagan’s keen eye, the family’s business would instantly plummet.
Before there was a next true successor, Wes’ life was essential.
Harvey basically saved the entire family by helping Wes deal with his problem.
The family had to thank him no matter what.
Harvey did not care about the money, but he still kept it anyway.
Then, he sat in Kairi’s Ferrari before leaving the Pagan family’s residence.
Harvey curiously looked at the goddess of a woman beside him while on the road.
“Anyway, how did you know I could save Mr. Pagan?”
Kairi smiled faintly as she stepped on the gas.
“I know the mirror and the bead probably came from the same place.”
“Since you dealt with Kellan Ruiz’s problem, then it’d be easy for you to deal with Wes’ as well.”
Harvey froze.
“From the same place?”
“Rather, from the same organization,” replied Kairi calmly.
“The mysterious organization has been living in the shadows.”
“They must be coming for the Golden Sands’ Hermit Families this time.”
Harvey froze.
“Evermore?” said he with a frown on his face.
The car shook momentarily when Kairi suddenly stepped the pedal a little harder.
Her breathing was getting a little rapid...
But she managed to cover her feelings well.
“You know about them?” she quietly asked after taking a deep breath.
“I got the upper hand when I fought them once back in the South Sea,” replied Harvey.
“To be honest with you, other than my wife, there was another reason that got me here.”
“I have word that there’s someone big in the organization here.”
“I want to root out this person.”
Kairi showed an odd expression before she took a deep breath.
“Since you’re already telling me all this, I’ll also be frank.”
“Evermore is most likely involved with my assassination too.”
“That said, they’re extremely difficult to deal with.”
“Even with the Patel family’s efforts, we aren’t able to get hold of much information about them.”
“Maybe you know something that we don’t.”
“We can form an alliance if you’d like.”
Harvey let out a cough.
“That wouldn’t be a problem. That said, I’m afraid that I’ll have to keep what I know a secret for now. After all, it’s quite a hard pill
to swallow.”
Kairi’s eyes lit up.
“I understand. The top-rated families here are most likely involved.”
“Not only will you be dragged into danger...”
“But the entire city will also be in turmoil because of it.”
Harvey glanced at Kairi. He did not expect that she would be this insightful.
She was so perceptive it was a little scary.
She managed to figure out this much after just hearing a single statement.
“How about this?”
Kairi smiled.
“I won’t force you if you’re unwilling to tell me right now, but I can offer you some advice.”
