Chapter 4491
After dealing with Grandma Bolton’s predicament, Harvey was completely exhausted. Saving lives was a lot more tiring than
killing.
However, Azrael and Lochlan were eager to invite him out.
Harvey had no choice but to agree, but he needed a change of clothes, since he was drenched in his own sweat.
More importantly, he needed to tell Mandy that Lilian was fine.
Harvey called a cab and headed back to the Zimmer family villa.
Everyone was gathered inside.
Aside from the Zimmer family, Gabriel and Avery were there too.
Even Silas showed up shamelessly, disregarding what he had done before.
They looked horrible-they didn’t know that Lilian had been freed.
Harvey was confused. He had already told Saul to ask for Soren’s help, but somehow, Lilian was still locked up.
Simon was furious to see Harvey come home late.
“Harvey!”
“Why are you still outside when the family’s in such big trouble? At least help us out!”
“I can’t believe we actually got a live-in son- in-law like you! What did the family do to deserve this?”
Gabriel chuckled coldly.
“That’s right! Young Master John’s been here devising a plan, yet you look as if this has nothing to do with you.”
“Is he the son-in-law, or are you?”
Avery took the opportunity to ridicule Harvey as well.
“Let me tell you something, Harvey! If anything happens to my godmother, I’ll kill you first!”
Mandy hesitated for a while; she thought it was inappropriate for Harvey to run around outside during such an important moment.
Harvey frowned. As soon as he was about to speak up, loud engines could be heard outside.
Simon and the others instinctively looked over.
A police car parked right at the entrance.
Lilian strutted out of it.
She walked into the main hall proudly, her lips a bright smile. “You’re all here?”
The crowd froze. Then, they exploded in excitement.
“You’re back, Mother?”
Mandy was filled with disbelief.
“How did you get out?”
Gabriel and the others look confused, but they quickly smiled.
“It’s good that you’re back, Mother.”
“I’ve been worried sick!”
Silas froze; he did ask for Blaine’s help earlier, but...
All he got was a slap to the face.
He was told to stay out of trouble.
After all, the Hermit Families were together.
The John family didn’t want to provoke them at all.
‘Did he end up helping me, after all?’
Not thinking much, Silas grinned and spoke to Lilian.
“Congratulations, Aunty!”
“I thought you’d be there for three days before you can get out.”
“The police did show respect to my brother, after all,”
“As expected from the John family’s powerful status!” Gabriel exclaimed.
Simon and the others looked at Silas, filled with gratitude.
“You didn’t get hurt in there, did you?”
“No! Why would I?”
Lilian showed them an arrogant expression.
“It did feel a little bad after I first got in...” [Fast update on daotranslate.com]
“But after that, it was clear that I had nothing to do with the incident.”
“Not only did they let me out, but the second -in-command even apologized, saying that it was all just a misunderstanding.”
“Mr. Bolton himself gave me 1.5 million dollars as compensation!”
“I would’ve come back already if it wasn’t for that.”
