The Untouchable Ex Wife by Mizuki Sei

Chapter 1418
Leia watched the stars, thrilled that she could stare at them without even lifting her head. It looked so magical!
Leia and Xavier laid next to each other and marvelled at the view silently, their shoulders and heads touching. It felt peaceful and
soothing.
"You know, it's been a while since I saw this many stars..." Leia murmured, feeling rather melancholic. "The last time was when
Liam, Ren, and I drove to The Golden Hills at Springfield. Everwell Hills, The King of Hills is right opposite The Golden Hills.
When night fell, the dark sky was full of bright stars... It was as if I could see the whole galaxy."
"I can imagine," Xavier said longingly. He had always wanted to stargaze on a hill because the view would be clearest, but he
never could find the time. Now that he heard it from Leia, he felt like he was experiencing it himself.
"We had such a good time, and we worried about nothing. We would go on road trips when we were free, and we climbed a lot of
mountains and went to a lot of beaches. Now, even though the stars haven't changed, we have. There are always things to worry
about." Leia sighed as she thought about her college days.
Xavier looked over at her and smiled. "I didn't expect you to have a deep and cynical side considering how carefree and
optimistic you usually are."
Leia didn't respond, but tears rolled down her cheeks like shooting stars in the sky. "Do you think everyone is like you? You have
the looks, but you're not a deep thinker at all. Don't you know that people will get emotional when they see breathtaking views
like this?"
"Hey, princess, why are you shedding pearls?" To Xavier, Leia was more beautiful than the stars in the sky. He laid on his side
and gently wiped away her tears. "Don't shed pearls so easily. It makes me sad."
Leia huffed and turned to him angrily. "Why do you always have to ruin the mood? Can you stop it with the cheesy lines?"
"I'm serious." Xavier looked at her fervently under the bright stars. "I feel happy when I see you, and sad when I don’t. I nearly
went mad when I saw you get close to Santiago. Do you think I'm joking?"
Leia pursed her lips and didn't dare to look at him because she didn't know what to say. They had been playing this game of cat
and mouse for a very long time, and when they had finally became a couple, they had quickly broken up with each other
because of a conflict. The stress of it weighed heavily on Leia, and she didn't know how to handle such an unstable relationship.

"I really don't know you..." Leia sighed deeply and added," Why do you have to pester me every time I decide to move on? When
I wanted to get to know you better, you acted like you didn't care at all. Do you think it’s fun to play me for a fool and mess with
my mind again and again?"
"I didn't do any of those things..." Xavier protested, feeling wronged.
"You didn't?" Leia clenched her fists and asked him hoarsely, "What about Shirley? How are you going to settle your relationship
with her? You wavered between Shirley and I when I wanted to be with you, so why should I have to go through that pain again?"
Her enthusiasm and passion had quickly faded when he couldn't commit.
"Yes, I didn't handle it maturely back then, but things are different now. I just want to know... Do you still like me?" Xavier asked
nervously, waiting for her answer with bright eyes.
