Chapter: 468
On the other hand, the senior executives of SJ Entertainment were troubled.
Meanwhile, Jasper was fuming in his office. “You are all idiots. Haven’t I told you to stop Ariana from getting investors on board?
Why are they auditioning for their cast now?” he barked.
Norton sank on the chair and felt extremely aggrieved.
He had already told all the film and television companies not to cooperate with Ariana and provided them with many benefits. He
even told the banks not to offer any loans to Ariana.
Nevertheless, Jayson’s short film won the award.
How could Norton stop them from getting investment now?
“Find a way to stop Jayson from shooting the movie now!” Jasper ordered furiously.
He was so angry that his right hand trembled uncontrollably. He tried to light a cigarette, but his hand wouldn’t cooperate. His
face darkened as if he was going to kill someone. He looked as if he couldn’t control his madness.
Norton felt afraid when he saw Jasper like this. He quickly took out his lighter and lit the cigarette for him.
“Mr. Anderson, we can’t stop them. Someone has already invested in their film and they even declared that production was
underway. It seems they have already received enough money from the investor,” Norton said cautiously.
He then glanced at Jasper’s expression timidly before complaining, “Besides, you also went to the film festival. You should know
how good the film was.”
Jasper was infuriated by Norton’s words and kicked over a chair angrily. “What do you mean? Are you trying to shirk your
responsibilities? If you don’t want to do it, I can kick you out.”
“That’s not what I meant,” Norton muttered despondently before awkwardly shutting his mouth. He thought highly of Jayson’s
script when Ariana handed it over, but Jasper refused to let him sign it.
Because of Jasper’s intervention, Norton had been scolded by the higher-ups at the headquarters, and he might even lose his
position.
Jasper’s anger was still raging, and it was starting to affect innocent people too.
When Donna and Ronald arrived, they found that Norton was looking extremely dejected.
A chair was lying on the floor, and it was obvious who had knocked it over.
“Mr. Anderson, you can’t blame everything on me,” Norton said with a sly grin as Donna sat down across from him. “You know
that Ariana is under Donna’s control.
If she doesn’t know what her people are up to, it means she’s not doing her job properly.”
The three of them—Norton, Donna, and Ronald—all had worked for SJ Entertainment for many years. Even though they were all
on Jasper’s side now, they had a history together and would tum a blind eye to each other’s problems when things got tough.
“T’ve been demoted, and I don’t have enough power to handle this anymore. Ariana has always been self-assertive, and she
never treated me as her superior. Now, it’s impossible for her to even listen to me or report to me,” Donna sneered, crossing her
arms confidently. “I think the publicity department should take the main responsibility. Tyler won’t be loyal to the company
because of what happened to his sister. I’ve already warned them about Tyler, but they keep spending money to enhance his
publicity. It’s ridiculous!”
Ronald was a little farther away from them, but he heard everything. His face darkened instantly. He didn’t want to start a fight,
but Donna was forcing his hand.
