Chapter: 530
However, Theodore remained silent for a long time before frowning slightly. “Why did you say that out of the blue?”
Noticing that Theodore wasn’t reacting the way she thought he would, Ariana’s courage waned and she hesitated, wondering
what to do next.
Just then, a commotion came from afar. Horace and his team had arrived.
Their conversation had to end, and while Ariana felt a tinge of regret for her impulsive behavior, the atmosphere felt right to be
asking those questions.
Forget it. She decided to ask Theodore again next time.
Horace brought a lot of people with him. However, the first thing Ariana was concerned about was Alina.
Horace assured her, “Don’t worry, Madam. I have sent someone to guard Alina. She is safe.”
In the meantime, Theodore mounted his wheelchair.
They stuck close together as they exited the camp and arrived at a three-story reception area outside, accompanied by
professional doctors.
Although Ariana and Theodore didn’t sustain any injuries, Horace still requested the doctor to perform a quick check-up, just in
case.
Ariana was afraid the doctor would reveal her pregnancy, so she waved her hand and said, “No, thanks. I’m not injured. I’ll be
fine after some rest.”
She pointed at Theodore and continued, “He appears more injured than Iam. Idon’t know if his leg was hurt when he fell from the
slope.”
As expected, everyone’s attention shifted to Theodore. Ariana sighed in relief as she sat on the sofa and drank a cup of hot
water.
After a while, a bald man came rushing in. He looked terribly anxious as he apologized to Theodore, “I’m sorry, Mr. Anderson. It’s
our fault. I’ve found the boys who pushed the both of you. Do you want to call them in?”
The bald man was in charge of the camp. He was shocked when he heard that Theodore had an accident on his grounds.
Theodore glanced at him and answered, “Sure.”
The bald man soon brought in the two boys. They looked about seven or eight, and they were the ones who accidentally pushed
Ariana and Theodore down the slope.
When their parents saw Theodore, they felt intimidated and didn’t dare to say anything that might offend him. Instead, they
repeatedly urged their children to apologize.
Theodore glanced over at Ariana, who was sitting quietly in the comer. Seeing that she had her head down, he could tell that she
was absent-minded.
He clenched his fists and coughed. He didn’t want to pursue the matter any further, but said a few words and dismissed them.
Horace was surprised at how lenient Theodore was. He suddenly understood why when he noticed Theodore staring at Ariana.
Men in love would never waste energy on people they considered unimportant.
After some negotiation, Theodore got Horace to take Alina back to the car. Although he was satisfied with the date, he didn’t
want to sleep in the camp because the bedding was too hard. So they returned.
