Chapter 100
Afterward, he grabbed a couple of toys from the side and walked out the front door without a backward glance.
Madelyn enjoyed the peace, casually shutting the door behind her and leaving Nate outside.
Listening to the door slam behind him, Nate fiddled with the toy wand in his hands and pouted, muttering. “Natalie, I miss you.
But you don’t like me anymore...”
With that, he reached up to clean his tears.
It had been days since he’d seen Natalie, and Nate missed her so much that he would cry at night. Natalie used to tell him
bedtime stories, sing him to sleep, and help him brush his teeth, wash his face, get dressed, and put on his shoes in the
morning.
But Brian said Natalie had been too busy to look after him lately, so Nate had to endure it.
He played with the wand one–handed, contemplating how to find an excuse to see Natalie again. when the wand suddenly flew
out of his grasp and landed in a nearby dense rose bush.
“Aw, man!” Nate frowned, scanning the surroundings. There wasn’t a servant in sight in the garden.
After a moment’s thought, he clambered down the stairs and started searching for his wand among the rose bushes nearly as tall
as he was.
He couldn’t find the wand, but a crimson velvet box in the corner drew his attention.
“What’s that?” he whispered, making his way toward it.
However, just a few steps in, he tripped over some tangled roots and tumbled headlong into the thicket.
Half an hour later, Brian rushed back to Majestic Meadows Manor, where the servant Sadie was already beside herself with
worry, and Nate was crying so hard that his eyes were swollen. with dried blood on his little shins.
Brian scooped Nate into his arms and gave his shin a quick look before turning and grabbing the family doctor by the collar,
demanding in a deep voice, “What happened here?”
“There were sharp rocks in the grass, and he fell right onto them, slicing his leg open.” explained Dr. Benjamin Morales, unfazed
by Brian’s intense concern for his son. He gently pried Brian’s hand away and replied softly.
“It’s not too serious, but the cuts are quite deep.”
“How did he trip? What were you all doing at the time?” Brian couldn’t help frowning as he turned to Sadie and asked.

“re gone out to grab some groceries, and the other two servants were upstairs cleaning. Nobody saw how Mr. Nate fell in,” Sadie
replied tearfully.
Brian had transferred Sadie to this residence because she was meticulous and always looked well after Nate. With Sadie
around, he felt at easel
Benjamin quietly packed away his medical kit and shot Brian a meaningful look.
It wasn’t anyone else’s fault. Benjamin thought the issue lay with Madelyn.
According to Sadie and the other servants, only Madelyn and Nate were downstairs then, so. she must know what happened.
“Got the warm water!” Madelyn’s voice came from behind as she hurried over with a basin.
Ubon seeing Brian, a flicker of panic crossed her eyes.
Brian had known Madelyn for over two decades. He might not know her inside out but he could always read her expressions,
and this time, she wasn’t fooling him.
Madelyn didn’t speak but quickly approached, crouching down in front of Nate, intending to clean the blood herself.
However, before her hand could touch him, Nate jerked his leg away, refusing to let Madelyn touch him.
Madelyn’s hand hung in midair, momentarily awkward.
Stand up. Sadie can take care of this,” Brian said firmly.
Madelyn stood up, handing the towel to Sadie with an embarrassed smile.
