Chapter 103
“Dad has invited you over for a casual dinner at our place this weekend. He’s been missing you and keeps talking about you,
worrying that I’m not taking good enough care of you,” said Gavin with a hint of a smirk.
“I swing by it the set doesn’t have me on a tight leash,” Natalie mused before nodding in agreement.
Outside the room. Brian stood silently, eavesdropping on their conversation.
“T’ll check with the doctor when you can bust out of this joint. And you, no getting out of bed on your own.” Gavin said, glancing
at Natalie’s pale face, his brow furrowed with concern.
He turned opening the hospital room door, and came face–to–face with Brian. For the first time. Gavin found another man’s
presence intolerable.
They locked eyes for a few tense seconds before Gavin coldly closed the door behind him. shielding Natalie from the sight of
Brian in the hallway.
After a few more seconds of silent stand–off, Gavin couldn’t help but let out a mocking chuckle. He had nothing to say to Brian,
so he brushed past him, heading toward the doctor’s office at the end of the corridor.
Just a few steps away, he heard Brian’s low voice behind him. “If you have no feelings for her, stop messing with her.”
Gavin halted, turning to face Brian. Suddenly, his hand flew out in a punch, landing squarely on Brian’s face!
“None of your damn business!” he hissed through clenched teeth, “Just watch yourself!”
He wanted to kill Brian, but he knew that would upset Natalie, so he restrained himself.
Brian wiped the blood from his lip, and after a brief pause, he said softly. “You know the damage it would do to Global
Entertainment Group if I pulled my funding. Think about it.”
“I’ll tell you just once. Take it or leave it,” Gavin replied disdainfully, his brows knotted with scorn, “Threaten her again, and I don’t
care about your damn money! I’m inviting her to my family for dinner, and that’s none of your concern! At least she can walk in
with her head held high in the James family!”

Brian’s gaze darkened,
“You’re not worthy of her, I’ll repeat it,” Gavin pointed at him, his words crystal clear.
“We’ll see about that,” Brian retorted after a moment, the corners of his mouth lifting in a slight smirk.

rest with all her injuries.
Natalie returned to the Wright residence to take Matthew for his chemotherapy session.
As she waited at the entrance, Gracia, who had freshly recovered from the hospital arrived.
Spotting Natalie’s car blocking the driveway, Gracia’s expression turned stormE.
“I don’t want to see her,” she murmured to Lydia at her side.
“Sooner or later, she’ll be out of the picture.” Lydia whispered back, locking eyes with Natalie as she helped Matthew into the car.
“Don’t worry. She won’t make it past Davis, let alone anything else.”
Natalie threw a cold glance at Lydia and Gracia without a word and climbed into the driver’s
seat.
In the backseat, Matthew looked at Natalie and said, “You’ve lost weight, haven’t you?
I’m not, Grandpa. You’re worrying over nothing.” Natalie replied with a smile.
Matthew could see that Natalie’s face had indeed grown thinner. After a moment, he said. “Don’t fret over money. And don’t push
yourself too hard in your acting. For a young lady like you, being happy and carefree is what matters.”
Natalie gazed at the road ahead and finally responded softly, “But the debt I owe the Howard family... I doubt I’ll ever be able to
repay it in this lifetime.”
*Brian is demanding you repay those billions?” Grandpa immediately inquired, his tone insightful “Why should you carry the
burden of your parents‘ mistakes all by yourself?”
