Chapter 126
Just as she uttered a few words, a chilly voice wafted over from nearby. “Yeah, when shopping for clothes, you gotta cut your
coat according to your clothes, right?”
Natalie turned to see Lydia and Gracia, sporting designer sunglasses, standing at the entrance of the boutique. Their faces were
etched with scorn as they looked her and Rosie up and down.
“Well, if it isn’t my dear sister. Fancy running into you here.” Gracia said with a sly smile, her voice hushed.
Lydia and Gracia were killing time while waiting for a response from the jewelry store’s head office about a possible refund, so
they decided to pop into the boutiques nearby. They hadn’t expected to witness Natalie’s embarrassing moment.
Rosie glanced at Gracia, recognizing who she was, and couldn’t help but frown. “What do you mean? Are you insulting yourself
again?” Rosie sneered.
“You!” Gracia was taken aback, at a loss for words.
Rosie continued with disdain, “Or are you just upset because you didn’t get enough of a spotlight the last time? Didn’t embarrass
yourself sufficiently?”
Natalie just looked at Lydia and Gracia briefly, then turned her gaze away as if they were unworthy of her attention.
A young sales associate, who had been attending to other customers, hurried over when she heard the commotion, her voice
soft as she tried to defuse the situation. “If you ladies would like to try something on, we have fitting rooms right this way. Let me
show you.”

Rosie, still feeling defiant, wanted to carry on the argument.
“Rosie,” Natalie gently placed her hand on Rosie’s shoulder, signaling her to stop.
They exchanged a look. With a subtle cue from Natalie, Rosie understood there was an unspoken plan at play and fell silent.
“Do you know how much this D–list actress makes for an episode? A mere pittance.” Gracia, still fuming over Rosie’s words and
Natalie’s dismissive attitude, strutted into the store and spoke with cold disdain. “Five thousand per episode! Even if she’s on a
mega series with over fifty episodes, she’d barely make a quarter million in half a year. Affording a dress worth almost one
hundred and seventy grand? What a joke! I think this dress would look perfect on me.”
As she spoke, she effortlessly snatched the dress from Natalie’s hands.
Natalie ignored her, continuing to peruse the other styles in the display, her expression unreadable.
“And yet you dare to browse our high–end collection?” An older sales associate couldn’t help but snicker. “Honey, take my
advice, that discount store across the street is more your speed.

Chapter 126
Why not enjoy wearing something that doesn’t break the bank? A few hundred bucks and you’re golden.”
Seemingly ignoring everything else, Natalie picked up a hanger and inquired the sales associate. “Do you have this in a small
size?”

“We have a full range of sizes in the store, including small, but what’s the point of asking? You can’t afford it anyway,” the sales
associate replied, shaking her head with a mixture of pity and skepticism.
The associate seemed to recognize Gracia as some kind of celebrity and immediately turned. her attention to her,
enthusiastically suggesting various outfits.
Gracia gave Natalle a smug smirk.
Natalie stood her ground, watching them for a moment, then turned to scrutinize the surrounding racks. She selected a few items
and said to the young sales associate who was waiting nearby. “I don’t need your assistance, you go attend to your other
customers.”
After that, she addressed the other sales associate who was overly friendly with Gracia. “You, come here. Along with these
pieces, I want everything else wrapped up.”
The sales associate paused, doubting her ears.
After a few seconds of silence, she cautiously confirmed with a note of skepticism in her voice, “Everything? Without trying them
on?”
“Yes, everything. Size small,” Natalie affirmed with a nod and then pointed to the dress in Gracia’s hands. “Including that one
she’s holding. Wrap that up too.”
“Are you blind? That’s the dress I want!” Gracia exclaimed, furrowing her brows in irritation.
