Chapter 88
“Already asked around. None of the nearby cities have it!” Uriah murmured back, “But don’t worry. Mr. King’s injuries are under
control. A few days‘ delay won’t matter. And it’s not like we’re completely out of meds. I’ll handle it. Just take care of your stuff.
Natalie hung up the call and returned to the Prestige Penthouses, where she reached out to a few contacts and doctors she
knew at Bluestar.
Their response was unanimous. After checking, they found their supplies were critically low, and even if they had stock, the
specific medication she needed wasn’t available for private sale. It could only be used after coordination between hospitals.
Despite scouring her network, Natalie came up empty–handed. She slumped onto the couch. and her mind raced with suspicion.
However rare the medication was, it was unlikely to run out overnight.
Then it hit her. Brian had also been to Bluestar. She hastily pulled out her cell phone and dialed Brian’s number. It took three
attempts before he finally picked up.
“Brian, did you do this?” she frowned and asked in a deep voice before Brian could speak. After a pause, a light chuckle came
through the line. “What if I did?”
“People’s lives are at stake! Can you please stop joking around?” Natalie snapped.
“Do you think I’m joking?” Brian’s response was calm and cold.
Natalie was shocked. Before she could reply, Brian continued, “I wonder if you would still marry Kellan if he became a
vegetable.”
“You’re despicable!” Natalie’s voice grew louder, unable to hold back her rage. But before she could say more, the line went dead
with the sound of the call being disconnected.
When she tried calling back, Brian’s phone was already off.
Without hesitation, Natalie returned to her car and sped to Majestic Meadows Manor. But this time, Brian didn’t give her the
chance to knock. His bodyguards stood like a fortress, blocking the entrance, refusing her entry.
“Brian, this has nothing to do with Kellan! It’s all my fault!” she pleaded, staring at the lit window, teeth clenched in desperation.
Inside, Madelyn glanced at the man standing before the window, his expression stormy as night. A flicker of scorn crossed her
eyes.
The more Natalie begged for Kellan, the angrier Brian became.
If she were in Brian’s shoes, having the woman he loved not only abandon their son and him but also plan to marry some
obscure everyman, causing chaos upon her return, she’d be livid to madness.

The thought of a golden bachelor like Brian, who ruled Streamville with an fron list and was worth billions, being bested by a
mere computer salesman was, frankly, laughable.
Yet, the fact that Brian was still watching Natalle below meant there was a sliver of mercy in his heart.
After a moment’s thought, Madelyn stood and walked behind Brian, glancing down at Natalie before speaking softly, “Brian, is
there a need to be so cruel? After all, it’s a life at stake,”
“And Natalie... She must be frantic to have lost her composure, Kellan must have done her some favor. Maybe you could just...”
“Have someone take her back to the Film Studio,” Brian cut her off, his voice icy. Without giving Natalie another look, he turned
and marched back to his room, closing the door behind him with a resounding slam.
Madelyn stayed by the window, her gaze lingering on Natalle outside.
Hearing Reid’s footsteps approaching, she turned, and their eyes met. With a drawl, she relayed, “Didn’t you hear? Brlan said to
take her back to the set.“
