Chapter 95
Ould you be any louder?” Brian’s eves sparkled with derision as he said to her, “To make the whole world outside hear you.”
Natalie was nearly blinded by the shower, clinging to the last shred of dignity as she whispered to him, “Brian, don’t do that here!”
There was a hint of pleading in her voice.
He could trample her dignity underfoot, but the people they’d be living with for the next few months were just outside! Anywhere
else would do, just not here!
But Brian just sneered, pinching her waist, his voice icy. “Where I want you, you don’t get a say!” Natalie felt her heart sink with
his words.
As he leaned in, she clenched her teeth and whispered, “So, does it feel good to toy with people like playthings?”
“Natalie, you don’t get to ask that,” Brian narrowed his eyes slightly, his tone grave.
She had started this game, so he was giving her a taste of her own medicine.
Natalie took a deep breath and said, “But I didn’t stand Nate up on purpose, you know it was because Kellan was in trouble! I’d
already picked out a gift for Nate!”
The scorn in Brian’s eyes deepened, “Where’s the gift?”
“The gift...” Natalie began, but then she realized, Brian shouldn’t know she had gotten Nate a gift, or he wouldn’t be questioning
her this way.
Madelyn hadn’t delivered the Black Diamond Pendant to Nate.
Brian had given her a chance to explain.
The water from the shower head had grown warm, but Natalie’s face was turning pale.
“Undo the belt.” Brian grabbed her hand, enunciating each word.
Natalie met his gaze, the chill in his eyes seeping into her bones, making her uncontrollably shiver.
Her fingertips had barely touched his pants when Brian’s deep eyes suddenly contracted.
Natalie’s knees ached on the frosted tile floor.
Brian bit her lip hard. She was lifted out of the bathroom by him, and thrown onto the couch. “Brian? Are you in there?” After
some time, Madelyn’s voice came from outside the door. Seconds later, a suit jacket carrying his scent covered Natalie’s curled–
up body. She closed her eyes, and after a while, asked softly, “Can you let Kellan go now?”
If he considered this a transaction, so could she. She was entitled to make demands..
Brian frowned involuntarily, looking at her slender body turned away from him.
“Brian? Madelyn knocked gently on the door again.
Brian remained silent, took out his phone, dialed a number, and said in a deep voice, “Change the booth.”
Natalie lay on the couch, not knowing how long it had been, her head throbbing. Eventually, she mustered strength, reached for
her phone, wiped away the droplets, and called Rosie.
Within minutes, Rosie arrived, horrified at the sight of Natalie lying in the lounge.
