before Brandon came, he had borrowed $20,000 from a friend. Together with his own $20,000, he only had $40,000. Brandon

clothes or use them for more meaningful things? Why waste the money inviting everyone to dinner?”
“I didn’t think about it that much,” Connor replied her with a smile.
“No wonder you have the money to invite everyone to dinner,” said Spencer.

“Is there anything else? If not, Hl go now.” Connor was afraid that his cover story would be blown.
“By the way, Connor, our class has a WhatsApp chat group. I am thinking of inviting you to join us,” Eunice said as she took her
iPhone out of her pocket.
