Mistaken Match: Marrying the Enigmatic CEO by Ruby Fennimore

Chapter 270
“I don’t think they’d be happy about that!”
As Alessandra came from a family with patriarchal values, it was inevitable
that she would prioritize the groom’s side. However, Roselynn was different.
“So what if they’re unhappy? Is Roselynn supposed to bow down to them for
the rest of her life? What’s the point of a marriage like that?”
All of a sudden, Mackenzie spoke up in support of Roselynn. With just one
sentence, she saved Roselynn the effort of convincing Alessandra, and the
latter could only go along with them.
Seeing that, Claudette stepped forward to speak to Mackenzie as well. “Miss
Quillen, I really like your personality. I don’t think that we should tell Roselynn
to compromise for them. I was just wondering, do you normally compromise
for your husband?”
Next to her, Roselynn was just as curious.
“This is a family matter, so you don’t have to worry about it, Ms. Lenoir!”
Mackenzie bit back, refusing to spare Claudette’s pride.
She knew that Claudette was trying to gauge their relationship as her rival in
love, and she would never allow it.
After Mackenzie walked away, Roselynn said to Claudette, “It looks like you
know my sister–in–law quite well.”

Knowing that they were not aware of Mackenzie’s true identity yet, Claudette
chose not to expose her and instead smiled as she said, “We’ve met many
times!”
Meanwhile, when Jessica hadn’t seen Roselynn emerge from the door after
waiting for over an hour, her face turned red from anger.
“Remember, Jaxton! When this woman moves in, you have to make sure you
get rid of her temper, or she’ll walk all over you for the rest of your life!”
“Don’t worry, Jessica! I’m a man!”
Jaxton was confident that although Roselynn acted like a queen before
marriage, she definitely had to be a caring housewife once they got married.
If not, he would not dote on her as much as he did now.
“Then you can keep waiting. I don’t think that woman will be leaving within an
hour!”
Feeling scornful toward the Lowe family, Jessica drove away to get some
fresh air. How dare a family of commoners patronized the Oatley family? It
was unacceptable!
While Jessica decided to go shopping nearby, she saw a small fleet of
luxurious cars near the Quillen Residence. Although the car in the front was
an ordinary Ford, it was followed by a line of Mercedes–Benz limousines.
“What’s going on?” Jessica gaped in shock.

As the Oatley family was a family of businessmen, she was accustomed to
the grandeur of the scene, and she was certain that a person who was under
the protection of several limousines filled with bodyguards would not just be
anyone. However, how powerful was he if he was only using a mere Ford?
w
Soon after, the limousines came to a halt, and a group of bodyguards
dispersed around the streets, most likely to protect the important figure in
secret. A long while later, an elderly couple walked out of the Ford.
“I–Isn’t that... Old Mr. Quillen?”
Jessica thought that she was seeing things. Why would someone as
prominent as Terence show up in a rundown countryside like this?
Furthermore, why would he even dress so plainly? However, when she
spotted Felicity, she knew that she wasn’t mistaken, and the wealthiest family
in Yeringham had indeed arrived.
At that thought, Jessica hurriedly leaped out of her car, planning to risk
everything to speak to the couple. In the past, the Oatley family had worked
with Quillen Group and even made a fortune. Alas, Quillen Group found that
the Oatley family was not capable enough for their standards and did not
work with them again. If she was able to establish a connection with Terence,
her family might have the chance to succeed with the help of the Quillen

family once more.
Meanwhile, Terence was preparing to walk toward the Quillen family’s house.
As he had visited in the past, he knew that it was inconvenient to park by the
entrance, especially on a festive day like today. However, before he could
turn the corner, he heard someone call out to him from behind.
“Old Mr. Quillen!”
