Chapter 1366
"Aldor suggested, "Why don't you call and ask Mrs. Kane about it."
He dared not to say anything rashly.
So, Keegan confidently dialed his girlfriend's number.
Motives for Murder had officially resumed shooting today. Stella made her way to the set very early in the morning.
The lead character, Lexi, who was supposed to be played by Bella, had found a replacement actress.
Stuart acted mysterious and did not want to reveal the identity of the new actress in the group chat. Stella got very curious,
especially after being out of work for so long. That was why she arrived at the set exceptionally early today.
The entire cast and crew got along better with each other after Bella left.
Stella had gained significant fame after playing the empress in The Palace. After she returned to the set of Motives for Murder,
the production team members would politely address her as "Coach Jewell."
That made her feel very awkward as she did not think she deserved such a title. Hearing that also reminded her of Keegan's
deep, low voice calling her when they role-played.
Fortunately, Stella knew how to disguise herself very well, and no one could notice anything strange about her.
When they were getting their makeup done, Stella asked Shea, "Is the female lead not here yet?"
"She's already here and arrived even earlier than us. She's in the dressing room now," Shea said.
Stella was shocked. "Is she that dedicated?"
Stella was still wondering why she had not heard anything about the female lead, but it turned out that she had already arrived
long ago.
"Do you know who she is?"
Shea shook her head. "A lot of people in the crew don't know either. Everyone's waiting to find out."
Stella asked again, "Is Leighton here yet?"
"Yeah, not long ago. He's also getting his makeup done."
Leighton and the female lead's dressing rooms were next to theirs. Stella just could not contain her curiosity, so she grabbed two
cups of coffee and her script to look for Leighton after finishing her makeup.
She walked toward the doorway and saw many people gathering outside Leighton's dressing room. There were crew members
and fans discussing who the new female lead might be. After all, she was going to work with their idols, and they were worried
that another actress like Bella would come on board.
With the script in hand, Stella claimed that she needed to practice a scene with Leighton and managed to pass through the
crowd.
However, Leighton's fans were not particularly fond of her because there had been too many scandals around her for the past
few months, giving them the impression that she was pretentious. Also, she was very beautiful. They worried she would stir up
rumors about their idol.
So, when Stella knocked on Leighton's dressing room door, she could feel countless sharp stares directed at her. She could hear
the fans talking about her clearly.
"Can't she rehearse the scene outside? Why does she have to go into his room?"
"She honestly has no sense of boundaries."
"She looks like she's going to be the next Bella."
"I'm just worried that she'll affect Leighton if anything."
"Leighton hates it when other people enter his dressing room, especially female artists. She won't be able to get inside, trust
me."
"Bella used the same excuse and tried to do the same thing last time, but Leighton didn't even open the door for her. She won't
be any different."
Stella listened to them without a change in her expression.
As soon as she knocked on the door, the voice of Leighton’s manager came from inside, "Who's that?"
"Me, Stella Jewell. I'm here to practice a scene with
Leighton," Stella said.
Nobody responded from inside.
