Gloria thought for a while, then asked Jennifer, “What is her father’s background exactly?”

She often heard rumors that Su Mian didn’t come from a simple family. Still, she’s also not really clear about Su Mian’s family matter.

After listening to Jennifer’s words, she couldn’t help but become curious.

“I don’t know. Nobody knows.” Jennifer shook her head. “That’s why she’s said to be low-key. You also know that all these years, people with a better background, usually will be more low-key. But when they encounter someone or something, everything will be resolved in a flash.”

“Anyway, you need to be careful of Su Mian. Then it would be fine.”

Knowing that Jennifer kindly reminded her, Gloria nodded, “I know. Thank you.”

Jennifer warily chuckled.

After coming out from Jennifer’s studio, Gloria received a call from Kenny.

“Let’s have lunch at noon, and then I’ll accompany you to see the wedding dress this afternoon.”

“Are you that free?”

“I am just an employee. Of course, I have to focus on my boss’ matter, which is more important.”

Kenny left early on his own, and he had to use her as a cover.

Although Clarke Group indeed belonged to her now, the person in charge was still Kenny.

After all, she knew nothing about these operational management.

Since Kenny had that leisure in mind, Gloria also naturally complied.

Both of them finished their lunch, and they went to the bridal shop to pick the wedding dress afterward.

The bridal shop was also under Clarke Group’s management. Before Gloria went to the bridal, Shi Ye had managed to clear up the shop for her.

Gloria felt that Shi Ye was very versatile.

“How much do you pay Assistant Shi?” Gloria was suddenly curious.

Kenny chuckled, “Take a guess.”

Gloria pounded on him, but Kenny caught her hand, before contemplating for a while, and said, “I don’t really remember anymore. His annual salary should be a few million. There’s always a rise every year anyway. I don’t remember anymore.”

Seeing that Kenny was so sincere, Gloria didn’t continue asking anymore.

Both of them talked as they walked towards the bridal shop.

The shop manager, together with the shop assistant, greeted them at the door.

“Young Master Clarke.”

Kenny entered as he held Gloria’s hand.

He stopped suddenly, turned his head towards the shop manager. His voice sounded icy cold, “You don’t know how to greet ‘Young Lady’ these two words. Do you need me to teach you?”

The shop manager glanced at Gloria, hastily bent over, and called out, “Young Lady!”

The other shop assistants immediately followed and called out, “Young Lady.”

Gloria took a glance at the shop manager,  realizing that the shop manager’s gaze was a bit perplexed, while the other shop assistants also had the similar anxious look in their faces.

There’s a problem.

Gloria calmly looked at them, from head to toe, and didn’t say anything.

Kenny took her inside.

It wasn’t until both of them walked a few steps the shop manager suddenly called them, “Young Master, Young Lady, I am sorry, but we haven’t finished dealing with today’s new arrival. It was still messy. How about you come again for the wedding dress next time?”

Kenny stopped his step and turned to look at the shop manager.

His expression was not good and looked cold.

The shop manager didn’t dare to look at his eyes at all, bowed her head very low, looking very scared. Gloria also noticed that her hands were shaking.

Gloria could also feel an atmospheric pressure from the man next to her, but she was already used to it, so she wasn’t scared like the shop manager.

The most important reason was that it wasn’t her who angered him.

Kenny was silent for a moment, and said with a gloomy voice, “Really? Is it very messy?”

Although his voice was gloomy, it was still within an acceptable range. No matter how frightened she was, she still replied firmly, “Yes.”

“Hmph!” Kenny sneered, and his voice became gloomier, “How dare you answer me ‘Yes’! I have informed about this matter since two days ago, but it was postponed until today. And yet, now you’re telling me that the store is messy. Is this your ability to manage things?”

“I..I…” The manager was too frightened to say anything.

Gloria pursed her lips, thinking of persuading him.

At this time, a familiar woman’s voice suddenly came from inside.

“Why should put an employee in a difficult situation?”

Gloria turned her head and found Su Mian, who was wearing a pure white suit coming out from inside.

Su Mian is indeed the most famous woman among all the women that Gloria has ever met.

She is exquisite and beautiful.

If Su Mian weren’t someone who intended to snatch her man away, she would still admire this lady, Su Mian.

Gloria noticed earlier, the expressions of the shop manager and shop assistants were a bit off. But, she didn’t expect that it was because Su Mian was here.

Before they came here, Kenny had already instructed Shi Ye to clear the shop.

But how come Su Mian is here?

Gloria gave a little thought before finding the answer.

Previously, when the news about the dinner party came out, practically everyone stood in line on Su Mian’s side. Everyone thought that Su Mian and Kenny were a couple.

Thus, the people in this bridal shop probably thought so too.

So, even after there’s an instruction to clear the shop, they still let Su Mian in.

When Kenny saw Su Mian, his whole body grew colder.

Gloria could feel that he hated Su Mian in particular.

Seeing Su Mian come out, the shop manager walked towards her and whispered, “Ms. Su, we’re sorry, but please come back again another day.”

“Okay.” Su Mian agreed quickly to the shop manager’s words.

Then, she looked at Kenny, walked two steps towards him, and said, “Do you come to pick a wedding dress? Are you planning to get married, then? Are you going to let the public know about Tina?”

Kenny glared at her coldly, there wasn’t any warmth in his voice, “Keep away from me.”

Su Mian’s expression changed for a moment but quickly returned to normal.

She followed his request and willingly took a step back, “Kenny, why do you have to rush? Don’t you want to reconsider who’s more suitable to you?”

After Su Mian finished speaking, she glanced at Gloria coldly. Her look was full of hatred.

Since Su Mian provoked her already, there’s no reason why Gloria should hold back.

Gloria let go of Kenny’s hand and walked towards Su Mian. Then, she casually said, “Ms. Su, I think before you start concerning about our marriage problem, you should start concerning your own problem. Kenny, this old man is 30 years old, so he is starting to be anxious about getting married. Although Ms. Su is well-maintained, you have to consider about your life too.”

Su Mian’s expression turned angry, she breathed heavily, but she didn’t reply Gloria.

But, she managed to give a meaningful look to Kenny, before she left.

However, listening to her fast and heavy footsteps, it was so obvious that she was in a bad mood at this time.

Beating a rival felt quite good.

But the joy didn’t last long. It didn’t even last three seconds before disappearing.

Gloria thought of the last look that Su Mian managed to give at Kenny. That meaningful look that made her joy disappeared.

“What did Su Mian mean?”

“Old man?”

Both of them spoke simultaneously.

The atmosphere was quiet for a few seconds. Gloria glanced at the shop manager and shop assistant, who stood respectfully behind Kenny, then she dragged him inside.
