Bella nodded in agreement. “You’re right. We were destined to meet again.”
Bella picked up a goblet, poured herself half a glass of red wine, and toasted. “To our friendship. Cheers!”
“Cheers!” The three of them raised their glasses and clinked them together, joking and reminiscing as they ate.
Given the long time since Bella had seen Sabrina, Bella was eager to catch up on what Sabrina had been up to all this time.
Sabrina hoped to fill in the gaps and was interested in learning about what had happened during the time she spent in Philade
before the accident resulted in her memory loss.
Bella held onto the fond memories of their time together and vividly recounted every detail of that period. Like a captivating story,
she shared it all with Sabrina. It felt surreal for Sabrina to hear about a part of her life she couldn’t remember. However, oddly, it
all sounded familiar to her.
Collen, sitting aside, didn’t get a chance to join the conversation.
He sat there silently, listening to the two while cutting the steak for Bella.
Bella suddenly thought of something and asked, “How are you feeling now?”
Sabrina creased her brows, a little confused by the sudden question.
“I’m great.” She thought she may have had a health issue in the past that she couldn’t recall and asked, “Why, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing. I remember you weren’t in good condition for some time. You had to take hormone pills, and you gained a lot of weight.
But you recovered and lost the weight when you were about to graduate.”
“I see. But I’ve been in good condition these years,” Sabrina said, shrugging her shoulders. She didn’t overthink it.
Sabrina was aware there were some thyroid gland-related diseases where patients needed to take hormone pills, affecting
metabolism and causing weight gain. Sabrina just assumed that she must have had that problem back then.
“That’s good to hear.” Bella smiled and asked, “Are you here to continue your studies?”
“No, I’m going to be working here.”
“Settling down?”
“Sort of.”
Bella suggested, “I can recommend you to my dad’s company if you like.”
Sabrina smiled. “Thank you for your kindness, but I’m a photographer now.”
“Oh, a photographer?” Bella smiled in surprise. “Can you take some photos of me? I’ve always wanted some nice pictures.”
“Of course.” Sabrina readily agreed.
“I didn’t expect that you’d become a photographer! I remember that you did well in your major courses.”
Back then, Bella needed to be more active in her studies. Growing up in a wealthy family, she was somewhat lazy. However, she
tried her best to graduate from school successfully.
