The Elixir Pavilion had a long history and a stable foundation.
Although the Sanctuary of Darkness was a mysterious organization that caused a terrible disaster in the past, the Elixir Pavilion
was determined to eliminate them if they appeared.
Helvius said, “Also, everything said today is confidential. Don’t let the news spread. Otherwise, it’ll cause panic among the
people.”
“Understood. We’ll carry out your orders, Pavilion Master.”
Helvius gently waved his hand. “Everyone’s dismissed.”
The core members began to take their leave. After everyone was gone, Helvius sank into his chair, and his face paled.
His Path Seal was damaged. Although he survived, he would eventually die if the damage continued to spread.
He went into seclusion without a moment’s thought.
Meanwhile, James was unaware of the events happening under the surface.
James temporarily stayed in Elixir Pavilon’s manor for many days.
The sun shined brightly today. James sat in the courtyard and rested. Meanwhile, Monica peppered him with questions about the
Elemental Inversion.
Ever since she obtained the Elemental Inversion, she had been trying to comprehend it. However, it was a very profound Secret
Art, and she could not thoroughly understand it within a short period.
James was slightly troubled by Monica’s questions.
He realized that Monica’s comprehension of the Elemental Inversion was already better than his. As such, he found it hard to
answer some of her questions.
“About that...”
James stammered and said, “A-A teacher’s job is to guide you on the right path. As for your cultivation progress, that’s for you to
discern for yourself. I can’t teach you everything, Monica. Everyone’s cultivation journey will be different, and everyone learns at
different paces. If I were to point everything out to you, it’d be detrimental to your growth. You’ll have to figure it out yourself.”
James made up an excuse.
Monica found his words reasonable. She nodded, and said, “Okay.”
At that moment, Jules walked over to them.
He sat down in front of James and his handsome face formed a grim expression.
Monica looked at him and asked, “What’s wrong, Young Master? Did someone get on your nerves?”
Jules said depressedly, “I don’t know what happened, but my father summoned all the Elixir Pavilion’s powerhouses to detain
some of my teacher’s disciples and followers. Meanwhile, my teacher’s whereabouts are unknown. I want to see my father, but
he has already gone into seclusion.”
Jules was aware that something had happened to Jadranka, but he had no idea what had caused it.
Moreover, he originally intended to introduce James to his father. However, his father entered seclusion and refused to meet
anyone. All of this put him in a dispirited mood.
James had no say in the Elixir Pavilion’s affairs.
He intended to stay to witness the Elixir Pavilion’s grandest event in thousands of years. After the disciple recruitment
conference, he would leave to reunite with Thea in the Eidolon Realm.
Then, they would have to discuss their next steps.
Monica was uninterested in the Elixir Pavilion’s affairs and did not want to hear Jules’ complaints. She turned to James and said,
“Sir, I’ll return to my room to continue training.”
“Go ahead.” James gently dismissed her.
Monica turned and left the courtyard, returning to her room.
Jules sat on the chair dejectedly, propping his chin in his hand. He murmured, “What in the world happened? Why did my father
summon our sect’s strongest members to apprehend the people on Mount Jakan? His target was definitely my teacher.”
Jules was confused.
