He wanted to ask Jadranka for clarification, but he could not find her even after searching for several days.
“Mr. Caden, it’ll take some time before I can give you the materials I promised. After my father returns from seclusion, I’ll
introduce you to him. My father is currently in charge of the Elixir Pavilion. I’ll have to get his permission before I can give the
materials to you.”
James waved his hand and said, “There’s no rush.”
His main objective for staying at the Elixir Pavilion was to gather the materials needed to revive Emperor Jabari.
Emperor Jabari was a Grand Emperor at the Ninth Heaven. He had extremely high requirements to recover his physical body.
The stronger his reformed body, the more powerful he would be. Moreover, it would also accelerate the speed at which he
recovered energy.
The Elixir Pavilion was the strongest force in the Boundless Realm. After he obtained the materials from Elixir Pavilion, he would
have gathered most of the materials needed to revive Emperor Jabari.
The remainder would be easier to collect.
“I’ll stop bothering you, Mr. Caden. I’ll head back to check on the situation and see what’s happening in the Elixir Pavilion.”
After speaking, Jules turned to leave.
James stayed in the Elixir Pavilion’s manor for a few more days. He had not left Sky City in this time.
Curious about Sky City, he stood up and walked out of the manor.
James walked around the bustling streets and immediately noticed both sides of the street were full of elixir shops. The elixirs
sold in these shops were at least at the Divine Rank.
He wandered around aimlessly.
Eventually, he entered the restaurant and ordered a flagon of wine. Then, he began drinking alone.
“The Oscars’ auction will be happening in a few more days. I heard they will be auctioning an Emperor Rank Elixir this time.”
“An Emperor Rank Elixir? Are you serious?”
“It’s true. It’s rumored it was made by the Oscars’ Grand Patriarch. He expended a lot of Blood Energy in its creation. The elixir
allows one to resist an Emperor Rank Tribulation.”
Several Elixir Pavilion disciples were discussing an auction in the restaurant.
James eavesdropped on their conversation.
After he finished his wine, he left the restaurant.
Then, he returned to the Elixir Pavilion.
As soon as he entered the manor, he saw Jules rushing out.
Seeing his flustered expression, James asked, “What’s the matter? Why are you in such a hurry?”
Jules was alarmed. “I think something bad has happened, Mr. Caden. I went to look for my father but he was in seclusion and
refused to see anyone. Then, I tried to seek the Great Elder, but he also turned me away. Even the elders refused to see me.”
James gave him a reassuring smile. “What could’ve happened? Perhaps the conference is happening soon, so they’re simply
too busy to entertain you.”
“We’ll catch up later. I just received a secret message from my teacher. She asked me to head outside of the city, so she can tell
me what happened. I’ll go meet her first,” said Jules.
“By the way, do you know of the Oscars?” asked James.
Jules replied, “Yeah. The Oscars are Officials of the Elixir Pavilion. The Grand Patriarch of the Oscars is one of the strongest
Officials and is on par with my teacher.”
“I heard they’re holding an auction in the Elixir City in a few days' time. Could you get me an invitation? I’m getting bored and
would like to have a look,” said James.
“Alright. That won’t be an issue. I’ll make arrangements when I’m back.”
After Jules agreed to James’ request, he hurriedly left.
Leaving the Elixir Pavillion, he headed outside of Elixir City.
He finally arrived at the location Jadranka specified.
It was a mountain range outside the city.
Since it was close to Elixir City, no monsters aside from some regular animals inhabited the mountain range.
After Jules arrived at his destination, he scanned his area and said, “Ma’am, I’m here! Where are you?”
