The Almighty Dragon General

The Dooms had been checking James’ whereabouts occasionally.
However, they were only aware that James was currently staying in the Angels’ territory. They had no idea that the man had
temporarily left the place at some point.
‘My hunch was correct. I did well by rushing back here as soon as my conditions were stabilized.
‘It would have taken too long if I were to spend more time on healing my injuries. The Dooms, in particular, Youri, might have
caught on by then. With his years of experience and knowledge, he would have grown suspicious of me if he knew I was
missing.’ James thought.
James felt a small sense of relief after meeting with the envoy. However, he didn’t follow the man and left for the Dooms’
homeland right away.
After the envoy left, James turned his eyes to Jethro, who remained seated not far away. James bowed slightly to him and exited
the room as well.
Leilani appeared in the main hall just then.
“Father.”
“Mhm.” Jethro gave a slight nod. Then, he let out a soft sigh. “I never imagined that he would secretly sneak out of our territory to
help the Heaven-Eradicating Sect members...”
“What should we do now, Father?” Leilani asked.
Jethro replied, “We should act as if nothing happened. All we have to do is remain patient and observe what happens next.”
“Yes, Father.”
James departed for the Chaotic Void where the Doom Race’s base camp was located not too long after that.
Upon arriving outside the correct Chaotic Void, James checked his soul aura again to make sure that nothing was amiss. Then,
he used the Greater Paths to create a new memory in his mind.
It was a fake memory of him staying inside the Angel Race’s territory all this time. Then, James hid his real memory in the
deepest part of his soul.

‘Though Youri hasn’t come to doubt me, it won’t do me any harm to be prepared for a possible questioning.’ James concluded
inwardly.
Then, the man entered the Chaotic Void and made his way to the main hall.
As soon as James spotted Youri in the hall, he bowed to the latter respectfully. “Sir Youri, I was having a debate with one of the
Grand Patriarchs of the Angel Race when I received your summon. Did something urgent come up?”
Youri conjured a moving image by using the inscriptions.
James began watching the scenes intently.
After the final scene was over, James commented, “Who knew Madam Thea would still be alive today... Even that mysterious
man from the Human Race has made an appearance.”
“That’s right.” Youri continued, “This is the reason why I’ve summoned you for your immediate return. The humans have begun to
carry out their plans. We don’t have much time left, and I have an urgent task for you.”
