The Almighty Dragon General

Yrian asked surprisedly, “Y-You were using the Terrastride Step?"

James replied, “Yeah."

Yrian took a deep breath and said, “No wonder. I couldn't even catch you. Still..."
He suddenly paused and did not continue speaking further. Although he was
curious about how James deciphered the inscriptions in such a short period, he
realized how shameful it would be for a senior to ask a junior for guidance. He
wanted to know, but his pride made him hesitant.

James, who had two Quintessential Hearts, easily saw through his thoughts. He
pointed at the inscriptions and said, “The method to decipher them is pretty
simple. You have to think of them as a picture. According to their shapes, you
imagine them in your mind."

Surprised, Yrian asked, “I-Is that how to decipher the inscriptions?"

“Go ahead and try it out.” James nodded with a smile.

Yrian stared at the inscriptions on the wall and attempted the method he got from
James. Unfortunately, his efforts were to no avail. He shook his head and said,
“It's not working. I must be lacking in talent, and am not qualified to learn these
inscriptions. However, your method seems to be correct.”

He raised his head to James and said, “You're very generous Chosen One.
However, you must never share these Supernatural Powers with a third person.
Actually, you shouldn't even tell another soul about how to decipher these
inscriptions, not even your wife, the Yin governor.

James looked at him meaningfully.

Yrian's reminded him that people may be innocent at first, but greed can corrupt
their minds. It was inappropriate for him to so easily let his guard down before
obtaining the ultimate boon.

James clasped his hand and said, “I'll keep that in mind. Can I continue?"
“Huh? There are other Supernatural Powers?" Yrian was startled.

James said smilingly, “Yeah. I only grasped the basics of the Terrastride Step.
There is still a lot more I need to understand. Just now, I only used the first step.
It'll take at least one or two entrapochs before I fully master it."

Yrian's whole body froze in place, and he stared at James as if he had seen a
monster.

“He only just got the basics down, but is already so strong? If he were to master
it, he'd be insane!

James said smilingly, “Do you have a space I could borrow? I need some place a
little bigger to cultivate."

Yrian snapped out of his thoughts and took out a black-and-white bead. Then, he
said, “You can use this one. It's called the Boundless Bead. There is a world
inside bigger than the Yin's void."

"Thank you, Sir." James hurriedly took the bead and nodded happily as if he
found a treasure.

Yrian said calmly, "You can have it. It might be useful to you in the future.”
James happily accepted it without hesitation. He poured some of his Marciais
Power into the bead, causing it to expand rapidly in mid-air.

Immediately afterward, James continued to cultivate the Terrastride Step.
