Chapter 1083
There were no security cameras in the private booth, leaving the events within its walls shrouded in mystery.
However, the surveillance footage from the hallway revealed that when Thalassa emerged from the room, her expression was
downcast, suggesting unhappiness. Despite that, her clothes were neat, her face bore no sign of distress, and she clutched a
sheaf of papers in
her hand.
It was the deed to the villa Leopold had left her!
After leaving the restaurant, Thalassa hailed a cab and disappeared into the night.
Two minutes later, Callum strolled out of the private booth, his departure casual, as if nothing of consequence had occurred.
The security footage offered no grounds for suspicion. It seemed improbable that much could have transpired within the private
booth in just ten minutes.
On that day, Thalassa’s meeting with Callum likely revolved around accepting the villa Leopold had bequeathed to her.
Coincidentally, that very evening, Thalassa and her mother moved into the new villa. Thalassa even purchased birth control pills,
downing three of them!
He had discovered the birth control pills in her drawer once, and she had lied through her teeth, claiming they were just a
precaution against any unexpected moves on his part.
If she had taken the pills, why the need for deception?
Was there a deeper reason? Or were the pills not meant for her at all?
These thoughts deepened Lysander’s brooding gaze.
That night, Thalassa wasn’t the only one at the villa; Evelyn was there too, already asleep by the time he arrived.
Could it be that the pills were actually for Evelyn?
Evelyn wasn’t married, and as far as he knew, there were no men in her life. So why would she need birth control?
A chilling aura enveloped Lysander as he reached for his phone, intent on calling David.
Then it hit him; he’d sent David off to Afriland today. He was probably already there.
Instead, he dialed his chief of security, “Check the logs. I need to know who came and went from the Vibrant Oasis Residences
40 days ago.”
At that time, Evelyn was still living there. It was on the evening when Thalassa received

the villa from Leopold that she moved with Evelyn to Central Ring Villa.
“Right away, Mr. Sinclair,” the chief of security responded with due respect.
After deleting the video files on Atticus’ computer, Lysander left his room and headed downstairs.
There, his four little rascals sat on the couch, their tiny legs swinging above the floor in unison, like a row of well-behaved little
penguins.
Hearing him approach, they all turned their innocent eyes toward him and simultaneously tilted their heads – an adorable sight to
behold.
“Daddy, when’s Mommy coming home from the hospital? Can we go see her?” Elowen slid off the couch and scurried over, her
big eyes full of concern.
Lysander glanced at Atticus, who guiltily looked away, having spilled the beans to his siblings in a moment of worry.
Bending down to Elowen, Lysander gently said, “Be good, focus on school, and she’ll be back before you know it.”
So, being good at school means I can see Mommy sooner? I’ll be the best student ever,” Elowen replied, a mix of hope and
sadness in her voice.
Turning to Fitch, Lysander ordered, “Get them bathed and to bed early, please.”
“Of course,” Fitch answered, summoning the staff to prepare the children for bedtime.
Back in his study, Lysander wasn’t waiting long before his chief of security called back.
“Mr. Sinclair, that day Bruce visited the Vibrant Oasis Residences. He went to Ms. Everhart’s apartment and stayed for just over
forty minutes,” reported the chief.
Hearing this, Lysander’s sharp eyes deepened with a storm of thoughts.
